Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Following yesterday’s game, CHAD JENKINS was optioned to @BuffaloBisons (AAA). RHP MICKEY STOREY has been recalled from Buffalo. LHP RICKY ROMERO has been outrighted to Buffalo. RHP CHAD JENKINS has been optioned to Buffalo.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Morrow was expected. Glad we essentially are "cutting the cord" on Romero. I guess Jenkins is being sent down for a week or two due to the fact that we have nobody to start on Sunday and have two off-days next week. Jenkins BETTER be back up asap, he was pitching fantastic.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Someone please explain why the f*** Jenkins went down?
Rajaifailedgrade1 Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Hahhaha Storey and Ortiz up... Yikes..
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 poor Romero He's rich but he'll live the rest of his life as the guy who lost it. That's rough.
admin Site Manager Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Someone please explain why the f*** Jenkins went down? Make room for bullpen help after last night.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Make room for bullpen help after last night. If they're only doing this for fresh bodies and Jenkins will be back up soon then I get it yeah.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 So what the f*** is our rotation now? Dickey Johnson Buehrle Jenkins? Ortiz?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Dickey Johnson Buehrle Ortiz We have a couple off days next week I think.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Yeah we have 2. Monday and Thursday. Thank god
SAAviour Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 If AA goes into next season counting on a full year out of morrow I will lead the bandwagon to have him fired. I'll never expect anything out of a season with morrow, anything he does is just a bonus.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I really hope AA does the right thing and blows this thing up at the trade deadline. Restock the farm and go back to the Texas model he talked about before this offseason. Ownership probably wont allow it but this team is in a f***ing mess.

I kinda thought this team could make a comeback. Not with all these injuries though. I think its time to stick a fork in it for this season. I reaally hope he just trades EVERYONE at the deadline and in the offseason. Start again with a fresh young team next year.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Official prediction: Dustin McGowan will make a start for this team within the next 2-3 weeks.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Not gonna happen though. We all know AA is too proud to admit defeat.
mitchf Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Official prediction: Dustin McGowan will make a start for this team within the next 2-3 weeks. And will out-pitch every starter on our team. Then inevitably suffer a shoulder injury after AA/Gibs declare him as the best arm on the team.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Not gonna happen though. We all know AA is too proud to admit defeat. He's cut ties with EE, nearly did it with Lind, did it with Hill, don't see why he wouldn't cut ties with another one of JPR's guys.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 And will out-pitch every starter on our team. Then inevitably suffer a shoulder injury after AA/Gibs declare him as the best arm on the team. There is a very real chance that not a single starter on our team this year will be average. That's f***ing depressing.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Even though we all want to see Stroman pitch well as a starter, struggling in his last start was a blessing in plain sight as it probably took him out of consideration to be called up. The season is over, not only were they not ready to start the season as they spent ST helping Rogers to build the hype, but the injury-prone guys have all gone down, unsurprisingly, and the supposed ace of the staff has pitched like a bum, as much as it pains me to say it. Time for Beeston to be fired and whomever comes in to embarrass AA by taking all decision-making out of his inept hands and letting him greet fans at the stadium entrance.
theblujay Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Wow this team is a complete mess. I couldn't have imagined it any worse.
RickyWalks Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 I was sorta mad that they were doing 7 pm Padres time for these games. Now I don't even care.

AA should not be allowed to start again with a fresh young team, didn't he already get the chance to do exactly this and blow it? Why give him another 2-3 years to see if he learned from his mistakes? Even though they look like they're in MiLB, this is MLB and he and/or Beeston made the decision to give up on the long term plan AA was selling since he took over to go 'ALL IN' with this group, AA and Beeston need to pay the price for these decisions. You can say it was bad luck or whatever, but this is the way it works, fire them both now before they do any more damage.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 Official prediction: Dustin McGowan will make a start for this team within the next 2-3 weeks. That would be awesome actually And it seems more and more likely #NothingToLose
GD Old-Timey Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 If Wilner says no, then it's all systems go.
Caper Verified Member Posted June 1, 2013 Posted June 1, 2013 If Wilner says no, then it's all systems go. I think that's what you have to do at this point, especially with Wagner and Perez pitching well.
