Anyone heard about the status of these guys.... both were throwing in spring training, post all star break they could be ready?

They will be ready. But not really for the big club... Apparently it takes about 6 months to feel right.

I thought Hutch was due back around the all star break?

Hutch should be pitching in extended spring by May 31st, so I'd assume July would be a good return date.

I doubt we'll see them in the bigs this year...unless it's maybe in September and the Jays are way out of it.

 

Drabek wasn't pitching so great when he went down anyway...he needs AAA time, Buffalo would be good for him for a year. Hutch was pitching like a stud...but I still think he'll be in AAA for at least half of next year to regain his confidence and build his arm back up.

Drabek needs to spend a good year in the minors. When you have to draw a line on the mound, in order where to know where to land... You're not ready.
