Rays::

  • Evan Longoria is currently on a 14 game hit streak. During that period he went .393/.444/.696 with 3 homers and 6 walks
  • This is Cobb's first start at Rogers Center, but this year (in 3 starts) he owns a 4.74 ERA away from the Trop this season, almost a run higher than at the Trop

 

Jays:

  • Josh Johnson went 3 innings in his first rehab start, striking out 5 and only giving up one run, he also had no walks.
  • Anthony Gose was called up for a bench role yesterday. The young center fielder went 0-1 last night as he came on as a defensive sub for Melky Cabrera

Cobb is legit and Ortiz is pitching. Should be an easy Rays win.

 

Nah I think Jays shell Cobb before he gets comfortable and Ortiz will pitch his way to an extension from AA lol

Oh so Gose isn't playing again... that makes sense. Winnable game tonight. We have our ace on the mound and we are red hot at home.

 

If Ortiz can keep up this charade it'll be a Christmas miracle.

 

Props to him for stepping up thoough.
