Another winnable game lost...

Just gotta win tomorrow now

jays didn't play that well, but deserved a better fate than 2 botched strike calls to end the game.

The "human element" can suck on my sweaty "I was working outside all day and... just DAMN..." balls.

it wouldn't be so bad if the humans were half competent in their job. there are way too many umpires who are making too many mistakes on a daily basis. must be nice to screw up your job so utterly day after day and never have to worry about a bad review, demotion, firing, no matter how bad you are at your job.

Yeah this was gonna be a tough one and its too bad they had a chance to win, but couldn't do it.

At this point we need to win series, so I don't care about this loss as long as they win tomorrow. We need to head in the right direction and take it series by series.

Remember the old saying that weather men are the only ones who can be wrong at their job 50 percent of the time and not get in s***? Safe to say we can add umps to it as well

He almost lost his job @ FAN590 for that Cito incident, eh.

The Cito incident was Wilner at his most hubristic. Everybody knew that Cito was dense at in-game management, but the transcript clearly showed Wilner tried to humiliate the man in the press conference. He hounded him to produce statistics that every reporter in the room knew he didn't have. His ego got away from him as usual, but it was nice to see it collared for once.

I just dont see them winning more than losing with this rotation and the lack of intellect at the plate. by the time reinforcements come it will probably be too late.

You gotta believe!! Just one nice long winning streak and they could creep back in.

How is this team going to put together a winning streak?

You need to have good pitching and a consistant offense to do that.

where are they going to find a team that they can all hit and that doesn't crush our pitching? 5 of the 9 guys are not very smart. you cant fix stupid and with trolls like Wilner encouraging their stupidity it's not going to get better soon.

no idea how a wild pitcher suddenly gets the calls.

Because baseball uses an archaic system that could easily be improved upon if only they'd actually show some balls. Oh, right... Selig... Selig's balls shrunk during the steroid era...

Lobanton framed that nicely. Pulled it back over smoothly. No way that should be called a strike but good job by him.

Not a chance JP gets that called for a strike.

I actually kinda thought it was Molina framing it for a sec. It was excellent.

@Wilnerness590: Just for the record, @jparencibia9 is a career .322 hitter with a .704 SLG when he puts the first pitch in play. #Bluejays #Jays

f*** OFF WILNER IT'S NOT THE TIME FOR YOUR s***

'

Unfortunately, that only happens about once every three weeks.

Its particularly awful because Rodney was wild. Its one thing to make a call like that if Janssen has been painting corners (though still awful), but Rodney had no idea where the ball is going - how do you reward him for that?

Well he was consistently awful the entire night. Luke Scott got royally screwed the same way earlier on in the game, as did Zobrist. Tampa has had more than their fair share of 9th inning calls against them, so hard to really say the Jays were unlucky

Hate Kelly all you want but you have to admit he's as cute as a button.

i don't agree. He looks like a lesbian with those eyebrows.
