So is this how the team should have been hitting from the start of the season?

 

Pretty much with a healthy Reyes.

With a win today, Jays would be 7 games back of .500. It would be incredible if they could put a streak together and make it back up there by the end of the month. Wishful thinking, but when the Jays bats are hot like this and they get a decent start, things could really get good fast.

Our roster is fierce mate.

 

It's getting there. Once we get a couple of our arms back in a few weeks things could really start rolling.

Imagine this lineup right now with Reyes...

 

When he comes back, this lineup is elite. Lineup is still decent without him though, especially now that our guys are seeing the ball well and taking pitches. As the OBP climbs, so will the runs.

Get Melky out of the game to save his legs

 

I think melky should be DH'ing at this point and Boni in LF. But as for tonight taking him out? Wait till the end of the 5th

JPA for Posey please.

 

The thing is, if JPA hits 30 bombs this year which looks pretty good right now, he is going to be considered one of the best catchers in baseball. It's sad but a good thing for the Jays if he is looked upon that way. Provides a great trade chip.

Well, the way in baseball works is that when some guys are hot, others are cold and since Reyes was hot at the start of the year, he might be the one in a slump at this point lol.

The problem is then you lose Lind's bat. Melky should DH against LHP and play LF against RHP.

If he hits 30 dingers, there's no way they trade him. They're more likely to build a statue of him outside of the stadium.

lo.l...........like that happens.

 

GM's fall for this type of s*** all the time. If you don't watch a player play everyday you tend to focus more on the offensive than the defensive stats.
