I love how this comes out of no where. Typical blue jays.

Yep

All good, he's doing fine, he's rehabbing, looking good ---> [bAM] ---> 60 day DL

What happens to minor injury, only miss a couple days...

That only pertains to other teams. You forgot we were referring to the Jays eh?

Blue Jays reliever Sergio Santos has begun throwing again, MLB.com reports Sunday.

Santos, on the DL with a minor right triceps strain, was sent to the team's minor league complex in Dunedin, Fla., to work through his issue and he's begun to make some progress.

"Playing catch up to 90 feet, feels great," general manager Alex Anthopoulos said of Santos. "So he'll obviously progress at some point here to a bullpen [session]. Right now, no setbacks at all. We don't have a date yet, but as long as he doesn't have any setbacks, we expect to get him back as soon as we get him into a game and maybe get him a back-to-back appearance."

Kindof Hope Melky goes down. He's really not doing anything. A Sierra/Gose platoon would be a lot more fun.

I wish this was the worst news of the day, but yeah...derosa is hitting 4th.

f*** this!

So we have DeRosa, Blanco, Boni and Izturis in the same lineup...omg

At least JJ seems to have a timetable.

Which means he probably died last Tuesday.

Their PR is nonsense. I was excited picking him up in fantasy thinking he was around the corner. Looked real sharp early on. Worst PR in the majors.

This is becoming a recurring theme with the Jays. Santos pitches a few innings per year then gets hurt. Very bad news for the Jays. Luckily Santos has a long term contract.

"Won't end season."

Haha yes it will... This guy is made of glass, and I got killed for saying it on the old board... Fortunately we didn't give up anything of value for him

As much as I hate the BS of the injury lies with the Jays.......the NHL is worse......lower body injury, upper body injury, out of body injury.

This organization is an absolute joke. They mislead us every time when it comes to injuries. I expect Melky and Morrow to both be out until the ASB at this point. No reason to think otherwise.

What's worse: The lack of honesty when it comes to reporting the injuries, or the inability of this team to shut guys down at proper times (i,e, Vernon going through the season with a bum shoulder when we're like 20 games out of it).

So many people need to be fired.

Seriously guys

Nothing good can come from misleading the fanbase with these stupid optimistic injury reports.

Very true. It's not like other teams plan their lineups around the Jays rotation. Sometimes I suspect the Jays want to sell walkup tickets , but that would be very marginal revenue, so I doubt it's worth it.

The other issue is that the Jays refusal to put players on the DL means they always play with a short bench. Wouldn't it make more sense to DL Morrow & backdate the injury to his last start.? Then the Jays could get another reliever another bat for the bench.

Excellent point. Romero said he was pitching hurt last year
