oakville69 Verified Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Just Curious. Who do you think the DH will be for the Jays on opening day 2014.? Does AA pick up Lind's option at 7 million or pay the $2 million buyout & find someone else. The problem I have with Lind is that he requires a platoon partner for LHP. I like Kittenface personally, & am impressed with his ability to take walks this year, but it seems that the Jays need a bat that can hit LHP & RHP> Thoughts? Morneau is a free agent & can play 1B. He also had a concussion in 2010 . Anyone else available on the free agent market in 2014? Does AA move Bautista to DH in 2014? Bring up Gose?
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Hopefully we have a Brian McCann/JPA/Thole kind of thing going. Tier 1 DH FAs Brian McCann, Mike Morse, Corey Hart, Mark Reynolds Tier 2 Paul Konerko, Justin Morneau, Travis Hafner Tier 3 Kevin Youkilis, Eric Chavez, Jason Kubel All in IMO. Or, we could sign an OF like choo / play Gose and move Joey to DH.
NiagaraJaysFan Verified Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 Hopefully it will be EE with Bau at first and Melky Gose Rasmus in the OF. Or if Bautista doesnt want to move then DH Melky. This.
dineke Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 I think it will be Miguel Cabrera, for realz.

GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 13, 2013 Posted May 13, 2013 If Bautista won't move to DH / 1B like he probably should I'd love to see a Lind/Kyle Blanks platoon.
