  1. Yeah, that’s probably true. Hopefully now we moved up another couple of rungs in desirability for them to sign here.
  2. Regarding the Japanese free agents: Do you guys think that given the fact that most of Japan saw the epicness of the Jays in this World Series, the guys giving it their all and Toronto being showcased as an amazing place to play, has the ice been broken a bit? Will we be able to pry some of them here to join this honorable franchise, or will it be business as usual, Dodgers or bust? Curious to hear the board’s thoughts on this.
  3. Tíck, tock, muthaf***as…
  4. It will be interesting to see the Jays’ farm system rank after this master class of deadline expiring contracts trades.
  5. Yes, that’s a typical offseason for us, isn’t it? Jays get linked to everyone under the sun, making us hopeful, only for said players to ink deals with literally any other team. It’s a rite of passage for Jays fans, obviously with a few exceptions (Ryu, Springer, Gausman). I wonder why it is that the Jays get linked to nearly everyone? I haven’t seen that with other teams, maybe I’m not paying enough attention…
  6. Kiermaier also wins the handsomeness prize. That can’t be overlooked! :-) He’s a bit too cocky for my taste tho.
  7. Teo’s a big bat to replace. Hopefully there is a full plan in motion of which this is the first domino.
  8. This probably makes more sense than my ever-hopeful post, lol.
  9. As soon as I saw this trade, I immediately thought of a potential Guardians trade for Jose Ramirez. The Guardians need catching, no? Could this trade be relevant in a potential Guardians target? Certainly would love a follow-up trade this fine Sunday…
  10. Maybe, but the way the post starts out "Ultima hora" (last minute, breaking news) with fire emojis gives me pause. He's been right before earlier this off-season.
  11. My goodness. If that's legit, and Chris Taylor is as well, what the hell kind of all-star lineup will we be fielding next year? Man.
  12. What the hell was that gibberish?
  13. Definitely something to build around. How do you suppose they protect him? Would hate to see him get pitched around all the time...
  14. Yep, I was done for the day after that one... 😭
  15. I haven’t logged into this site in a year, but I had to post this. Try not to cry.
  16. Hey! Joined this forum at the beginning, mostly lurked for a long time, but I just had the itch to post. Do you folks have a good feeling about next year based on what's happened to start the offseason? Do you think the necessary moves will be made to compete next year, or will we dive back into mediocrity. How hard will it be to retool the lineup at the same level as this year? Me, I'm trying to stay positive, but dark thoughts are starting to creep in. What say you folks?
  17. I think Alex is doing the right thing here. See how we do on this road trip (currently pretty well), see where we stand, let the market get sorted, and try to make a deal that doesn't cripple us in the future. We aren't close enough IMHO to risk a lot with a rental.
  18. BTW, I am doing my part, having voted aprox. 100 times for #RaiseTheBar!
  19. I find it interesting that Delabar is also winning in these butt-f*** nowhere counties in the US. There is support for him all over! I find that interesting considering the Jays don't get that much exposure down there. GO JAYS GO!
  20. GO JAYS GO! Just came back from Buffalo and saw a surprising number of Jays jerseys! Got me pumped for this series! Let's go for the sweep to be only 2 games back!
  21. Sweet, only 10 minutes away from the Buffalo ballpark! *buys his tickets* Awesome!
  22. He looks like Henderson Alvarez 2.0. If you were watching from a distance you would swear it was him. I for one think that based on the dramatic improvement in a short time of his sinker, he will be legit. Let's face it, the things filthy. I can't see the league just figuring that out. Next, there is his composure on the mound. AA may have found the pitching version of Jose Bautista, but younger, which is all good! GO JAYS GO!
