Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Hope this is the catalyst for a consistent jays team going forward. Still a huuuuge hole to dig out of Big hole indeed. Need to take it one game at a time. The talent is there, looks like these guys have some fight in them after all.
Iluvbjs Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Wow what a huge win. Glad to see the Jays didn't lie down when they trailed by 7. Buerle or however you spell his name put us in that hole and he continues to do so game in and game out. If this team hopes to win, we simply can't keep running him out there. Gibbons needs to make a move to someone like Cecil sooner than later. At least his fastball has regained some velocity to keep guys honest. This guy tossing beach balls up there at 83-85 mph is a joke. To top it all off, he's been up in the zone consistently. I think they need to take his 7+ ERA and show him where the bullpen, or better yet, where the door is.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I'm so glad we smacked Rodney's ass. I hate that guy and his stupid sideways hat.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 We need to pick up a game on the Red Sox tonight Hate to be greedy but...
bzapple Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 The best part is that the Rays constantly do these annoying comebacks against us, so it feels great to turn the tables for once.

The front office isn't just going to release him.

Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Comeback from 7-0, against the Rays, IN TROPICANA FIELD. What a great achievement! Hopefully we can take this series.
Chappy Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 We need to pick up a game on the Red Sox tonight Hate to be greedy but... Not greedy, I was thinking the same thing. A loss by the Red Sox gets us to 8.5 games back. Kinda doesn't seem so hopeless if that happens.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Still not sure if that actually happened. If I wake up and find out this was just a dream and we lost 12-0 I'm gonna die lol.
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 I'm sure Dickey wishes he got half the run support Burhle gets in his starts. It's amazing he doesn't have 4 losses on his record already. 3 runs in 4 games, than 18 runs in 2 games... go figure.
kgm1 Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 What is the best comeback in modern history . twins came back from a 9anbd 16 start in 2006 . Anyone come back and make the playoffs after a 12and 21 start?
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 What's with the bold letters? Annoying. what's the point of having a board that has a bunch of extras if we dont use them??
Arkadium Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Great win today boys!! I'm glad I stuck around and got to see the victory! I hope Buehrle will smarten up now... we can't do this often.
o2cui2i Community Moderator Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Buehrle owes the whole team a steak dinner and 50 year old scotch!
GD Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 That's actually happened to me before lol, no joke. I dream up entire games all the time. s***, actually? That must SUUUUCK.
Atothe Old-Timey Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Im gonna mail a rotten plantain to Fernando rodney
JohnnyLonghorn Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Great job by Rogers, Oliver, and Janssen locking it down and not giving up any runs in the later innings
Wheate Verified Member Posted May 7, 2013 Posted May 7, 2013 Had to join this board just to say I'm one superstitious bastard and this board is our new rabbits foot. That and yunels "soft hands"

Anyone come back and make the playoffs after a 12and 21 start? Ken, its going to be a big hill to climb, but if this team gets to .500 by mid season, then anything is possible. The key is to just get to .500 and then the WC doesn't look so out of reach.
