John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Kalfus thread was closed? Noooo Good. Maybe you and the clones will try to come up with something that actually adds to the board instead of repeating and quoting the same garbage ad nauseum to each other about a prospect that is barely relevant.
GD Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Daniel Norris is going to be a beast. No FIPs above 3.9. "BUT ERA GUIZE"

Angrioter Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Favourite thread after Goins stick and King-Kalfus!!
bluejaysfan Verified Member Posted April 13, 2014 Posted April 13, 2014 Favourite thread after Goins stick and King-Kalfus!! Test I just read that the "Official King Kalfus Thread" was being closed by Gsnaris because he thought it wasn't "providing any value any more." The value is that it excited thousands of fans to follow the Blue Jays in the hope for a winning team (for the first time in over 2 Decades!). As mlbprospects said," king - so someone is closing the king kalfus thread? 47,000 viewers and a popular player really worried some blue jays moderators that their threads or favorite players weren't nearly as popular. the blue jays will lose thousands of fans. kal will make it to the mlb and this moderator can get joy in his spread of hate and spend time with his hater friends with his losing team. baseball is fun and kal is a promising young player who has done everything the right way - and his fans will always be there to support him. this toronto blue jays message board is for a moderator to control and dictate what they want said and control who they want saying it. maybe the moderator is from another continent where freedom doesn't exist!" Well said "mlbprospects." Kal brought thousands of fans to the blue jays and to this thread. We will still closely follow kal as he makes his way to the MLB. "Gsnaris" isn't the moderator and controller of the Toronto Blue Jays or its fans! We love baseball, the Toronto Blue Jays and future prospects like Kal!
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 14, 2014 Posted April 14, 2014 Sorry that someone has the power to ban bluejaysfan. No one forced thousands of people to view the thread and it was really popular for a popular player. Great players always find a way to rise to the top. Go Blue Jays. Thousands of people didn't view it. 3 did, thousands of times because they're idiots. He's not a popular player, he's org filler that 3 people have an irrational liking for, bordering on stalking. You're right about great players funding a way to rise to the top though, Norris and Dwight Smith jr are having a great start to the year.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Smith Jr makes the April 11 BA Hot Sheet at #12. 12. Dwight Smith Jr., lf, Blue Jays Team: high Class A Dunedin (Florida State) Age: 21 Why He’s Here: .469/.485/.750 (15-for-32), 3 2B, 2 HR, 8 RBIs, 1 BB, 0 SO, 2-for-3 SB The Scoop: Smith doesn’t profile as a bopping corner outfielder, but he began 2014 by flashing surprising pop, hitting two home runs and three doubles in his first 32 at-bats, with both homers against rehabbing Cole Hamels. Smith had two doubles and three RBIs against Daytona on Thursday. http://www.baseballamerica.com/minors/prospect-hot-sheet-april-11-joc-pedersons-wide-ranging-tool-set-plays-at-triple-a/

Though he went 0-3, he held hitters to a .167 mark and struck out nearly a batter per inning. The Oregon State product has been just as sharp in his first two outings of 2014, allowing no runs and one walk while earning a pair of victories in 12 innings. With help from the southpaw Boyd, Dunedin owns the top record in the FSL at 8-2. http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140414&content_id=72021532&fext=.jsp&vkey=news_opotw&sid=milb

I don't think its right to spread rumors about anyone, especially about fans that you probably don't even know. He is a popular player. I have been to sold-out Canadian games and saw with my own eyes. Have you? I also doubt that 3 people alone viewed this fan started thread over 47,000 times. Spreading rumors is simply wrong! I hope he becomes a great player as well as some of our other young players. Every single player drafted (with few exceptions) is a great athlete or else they would not have been drafted! I support our players especially those that graduated college on scholarship. They are good role models for our younger players in Vancouver and all of Canada.

switchhitter Verified Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 The force is not very strong with you. Lets hope the force is strong with Maicer Izturis and he isn't out for the rest of the season needing surgery on his knee. He was hitting and fielding great for us and this is year 2 of his 3 year contract. Who in our system will replace him?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 15, 2014 Posted April 15, 2014 Maicer being out for the rest of the season probably won't make a huge difference. Replacing one replacement level player for another usually doesn't tip the scales one way or the other

Looking forward to Vancouver to begin its season and see what the team looks like. I found a new place to write and share about our favorite Blue Jays players/prospects. There are a lot of fans who are passionate about our team and about some of our favorite players. Happy Easter everyone.

We look to see him in Vancouver. It seems like most of the college players aren't well thought of by the blue jays (unlike the Cardinals organization who promomte and favor college athletes.

Mikeleelop Verified Member Posted April 18, 2014 Posted April 18, 2014 from chat today mike (Ontario Canada): Stroman seems to have started the year well, is he ready for the majors? Would you have him relieve or start? Ben Badler: He's ready now. I would be 100 percent committed to him as a starter. Four average to plus pitches, a huge strikeout rate and potentially plus command? If they move him to the bullpen just because he's 5-foot-9, I think they're out of their minds.

You didn't fix anything. You just made up things-again. You probably never went to college on a scholarship, never became an all-american, never graduated college with honors, never got drafted by an MLB team and probably never had much success. Our young players are filled with talent and some represent us both on and off the field. You can look up the facts or continue to throw stones at those who succeed far beyond what you and most people are capable of.

Caper Verified Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Emilio Guerrero is a legit prospect.... that is all.
ElNik2013 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 Good night for Norris, Sanchez, Graveman and Hendricks at AAA. Today, it's Nolin, Jenkins, McGuire, Boyd and Robson. If Boyd has another good start, they should promote him to AA. He's an older college draftee and has dominated since last year. I don't see why he should be kept at A-ball any longer, push him, I say.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2014 Posted April 19, 2014 I agree if he's dominating that much that it's clear he's not being challenged, it would open a spot to maybe allow another of the logjam of SS starters to jump to Lansing with a Lansing veteran up to Dunedin
JoJo Parker Dunedin Blue Jays - A SS On Tuesday, Parker was just 1-for-5, but the one hit was his first professional home run. Explore JoJo Parker News >
