z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 Only when making trades You can get it up when you're that drunk?
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 You can get it up when you're that drunk? He never makes trades while drunk. I stopped sending him weekend trade offers after midnight years ago.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 It took a trip back to Hi-A, but Whitley finally had a game he didn't get bombed in! Progress!
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 I hate everything happening this trade deadline.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 I hate everything happening this trade deadline. lol, I laughed at your expense when I saw the trade come in
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 31, 2019 Posted July 31, 2019 OMFG, I hadn't seen the return yet... I shall laugh even harder now
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 OMFG, I hadn't seen the return yet... I shall laugh even harder now Like why Marlins why
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 1, 2019 Posted August 1, 2019 Bruce back to Spank + my 3rd for TCA's 2nd. To recap, I coughed up a 1st for the pleasure of Bruce going 0-9, then getting hurt. Yup.
tafkasg Verified Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Man, crushed by Boxy, my starting lineup decimated, this is some ********!
tafkasg Verified Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 Edwin on the block, send yahoo offers if you want some.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 (edited) On the block for the trade deadline: Giovanny Gallegod (part-time god, part-time top-10 reliever in baseball) Taylor Trammell (top 30 prospect, people love him, great personality) MacKenzie Gore (best pitching prospect in baseball and for good reason; filthy numbers) Brandon Lowe (127 wRC+) Christian Walker (114 wRC+, barrels baseballs at a fantastic rate; probably legit breakout and still only 28) Garrett Richards (on a rehab assignment, only 31) Mike Tauchman (127 wRC+, 28 y/o) Jordan Luplow (118 wRC+, 25 y/o) And allow me try to sell you on some other relievers I have available: Yoshihisa Hirano (5 holds in last 13 appearances, with a 13.06 K/9 and 3.48 ERA/3.31 FIP/3.58 xFIP) Andrew Kittredge (looks like a stud) ----> https://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=12828&position=P Scott Barlow (kind of want to hang on to him, but will move him if I get a worthwhile asset or can package him for an upgrade; stud) Joe Kelly (numbers over the past two months: 13.26 K/9, 3.79 BB/9, 68.2 GB%, 1.89 ERA/2.38 FIP/2.62 xFIP; goddamn!) Buck Farmer (good numbers, though I kind of doubt anyone will give me anything for him: https://www.fangraphs.com/statsd.aspx?playerid=14814&position=P&gds=&gde=&season=) A.J. Cole (numbers are decent with some upside, probably my cheapest reliever; would accept a pick upgrade for him) I would love to consolidate a few assets, preferably targeting your young talent that is either on the cusp of making the majors or just breaking in. I'm offering some good stuff, so give me a can't-miss guy and we will make something happen. Whether or not you acquire some of these guys could make or break your championship run. Hit me up. Looking to make a bit of a splash. Relievers, except for Gallegos and Barlow, can be had for pick upgrades. Alternatively, could package a couple together, possibly with another player, for a more worthwhile upgrade. Edited August 5, 2019 by P2F
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 5, 2019 Posted August 5, 2019 People may want to get offers in quickly on Gallegos and Lowe.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Dinger, have you enjoyed owning Merrill Kelly?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 Dinger, have you enjoyed owning Merrill Kelly? Since acquiring him I’v surged into 4th place, so I really can’t complain. I prefer to look at the gestalt, rather than focusing on how much better my team could be if I had, say, kept Juan Soto, or chosen Bellinger over Stanton in the expansion draft.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Author Posted August 6, 2019 The Merril Kelly grift was my season highlight. Sad but true
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 The Merril Kelly grift was my season highlight. Sad but true It was a pump and dump the likes of which hasn't been seen in this league since Dinger was in his prime.

You did rebuild quickly. z3r0s' reign of the Reuben division was short
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 You did rebuild quickly. z3r0s' reign of the Reuben division was short It's kind of crazy that the league is old enough that we've seen multiple teams complete a rebuild cycle. We even have one team that completed a rebuild cycle, competed, and is back to rebuilding.

I'm still in the power ranking playoffs and my rotation has been devastated basically the whole year between shoulders, backs, and cancer. Not to mention that dick Kimbrel. On that note, I would entertain offers on anyone who isn't part of the core coming up to this deadline. I'm fence sitting on weather to push for the 8th seed or just accept reality.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 well it still gave me a chance to bemoan my season, so I'll take it

Will he be the only player to have played his entire career with the same DDL team? I don't have any original picks left.

If you're looking for pitching Drew Smyly or Tyler Beede is available. I'm also surprised how many starters I've dealt you over the past few years. C-Mart, Carrasco, Bumgarner, Wood.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 If you're looking for pitching Drew Smyly or Tyler Beede is available. You should be embarrassed for posting this.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 You should be embarrassed for posting this. Have you seen Smyly as a Phillie? Looking more like his 2015 version, velocity is up a little too.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 6, 2019 Posted August 6, 2019 That trade from earlier today is Gallegos for Urquidy + Dinger's 1st. I can update the sheet later this evening if it hasn't already been done by that time.
