P2F Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 I heard Kang chugs while driving? Can you confirm? Give me your first and I will.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 Give me your first and I will. I own Kang in BORED and I'm like 95% sure I'll just cut him heading into the waiver draft, unless we contract 2 teams and expand our keeper #.

You should be trying to sell him to spittin immediately. He just paid a likely top-5 MiLB pick for him in LoD.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 10, 2018 Posted December 10, 2018 That's pretty insane, alright. 3B-only dude who didn't show any juice whatsoever in his comeback this year and will be 32 on opening day.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Who has a CF to trade me? Would be interesting in moving Adam Eaton for a similarly risky/upsidey dude with CF. Also interest in moving reclamation project Eric Thames and DL stash G Richards. Could move Dee Gordon if anyone wants some SB's and versatility (might be 2B, SS, CF next year). Was the foot injury really the issue? Who knows!

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 3, 2019 Posted January 3, 2019 Someone soon needs to make a trade. I wouldn't mind shedding one of my starters. Preferably one of Jeff Samardzija, Julio Teheran, Caleb Smith. Looking for a prospect in return.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 I'm looking for an SS2, 3B3 or possibly a 1B4. I have some OF3 and OF2 to deal

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 Who uses the terms 3B3 or 1B4... I think he misunderstood something Bret Sayre wrote.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 I think he misunderstood something Bret Sayre wrote. Did he use too complex terms for Boxy?
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 To be fair to Boxy using a number after a position is more of a fantasy football thing. RB1, RB2, WR3, ect

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 4, 2019 Posted January 4, 2019 sp1, sp2, sp3...? completely different and you know it. If you had 3 top tier OFs and a s***** 1B, is that different from having 2 top tier OFs, a s***** OF and a top tier 1B? It's the same thing. There's no point in labeling players this way, all the stats go to the same place. Bret Sayre just seems to not understand fantasy baseball, which is predictable since he's retarded.

I think he's basically just saying "this dude would be okay as your 3rd OF, if he's your best OF, that's not good." You might be reading into it a bit too much. Most leagues don't play with a CF specific position, they just have 3 OF spots. So treating your OF like a SP rotation is analogous enough. I know you love to s*** on Sayre for anything but I don't see the ish here.

Laika Community Moderator Posted January 6, 2019 Author Posted January 6, 2019 Spreadsheet hasn't needed an update in a month. It is time for the DDL to wake up! Who is selling off a good player?

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 For reference: C - Cervelli/Zunino (Rays trade has me re-thinking this) 1B - Matt Olson 2B - Ben Zobrist 3B - Josh Donaldson SS - Alex Bregman CF - Randal Grichuk OF - Yasiel Puig OF - Jesse Winker UTIL - guess I gotta fill this SP - Chris Sale SP - Ross Stripling SP - Miles Mikolas SP - Mike Foltyniewicz SP - Kyle Hendricks SP - Zach Eflin RP - Felipe Vazquez RP - Matt Barnes Unsure about the rest of the relievers but should be easy enough to fill out in the draft. Dear BTS: your dumn I'll also have ACE Chris Paddack up at some point.

Laika Community Moderator Posted January 6, 2019 Author Posted January 6, 2019 I think you mean C2 - Mike Zunino OF2 - Yasiel Puig OF3 - Jesse Winker
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 Your offense is not going to be very good. Is that a joke? Bregman - top 5 batter Winker - 130 wRC+ Puig - 130 wRC+ and moving to one of the best hitter parks in baseball Matt Olson - probably 150 wRC+ based on BOXY Zobrist - perfectly average - above average 2B Donaldson - who knows but penciling him in as 130 wRC+ doesn't seem like a stretch Grichuk - projected for a 110 wRC+ with 30 dingers which seems light given he had a 140 wRC+ in the second half and outside of a 20 wRC+ in April, was well over 100 for the rest of the year. Cervelli - projected for a 107 wRC+ and had a 125 last season No idea where you see a bad offense but might be the same thing that made you think it was a good idea to bet me.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 6, 2019 Posted January 6, 2019 I guess I don't have enough Nick Markakises.

Bregman and a bunch of injury prone/old complementary players. I predict that the offense is bad and at the end of the year you're complaining that your team was good but you had bad luck.

Also, this coming from a guy leaning on DeGrom, Votto, Moustakas, Ramos, Britton, and Brantley is pretty rich.
