Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Any contenders want to pay me for beast mode 1B/OF Brandon Belt and his godly .396/.509 line? If I can get an interesting Top 50 prospect I would consider moving him. I'd totally go for this if I wasn't packed with OF/1B types already.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 I'd totally go for this if I wasn't packed with OF/1B types already. I considered offering him to you for Bird but Greg seems like a hot mess right now, plus I know you're emotionally attached.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Amir Garrett and Yadier Alvarez to Boxbike for Clint Frazier. Confirmed and procizzeled

At least I can take solace in the fact that Rodon f***ing blows. I guess there's a point where too many injuries really limit your ceiling, go figure.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 I guess there's a point where too many injuries really limit your ceiling, go figure. Sorry, to be clear... are you talking about Bird or Rodon?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Sorry, to be clear... are you talking about Bird or Rodon? Both lol
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Rodon is going to strike out 200 guys in a season some day.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Rodon is going to strike out 200 guys in a season some day. Along with walking 140 guys, maybe.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Rodon is going to strike out 200 guys in a season some day. With his 8.6% SwStr rate, that's going to require about 250 IP.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Anyone else find that there haven't been as many pop-up guys this year? Aguilar Muncy Escobar Pivetta Eflin? Gonzales? I don't think I've found a single potential long-term piece on the waiver wire in any of my dynasty leagues.

Pretty happy to end up with Eflin, though. Even if there are fewer guys coming out of nowhere, I still have this feeling that literally anyone could end up being a star.

I mean that's always been the nature of the sport, it just seemed like last year every post-post-hype prospect and every power prospect from the minors broke out. Also Jed Lowrie.

Also Jed Lowrie. Yeah but because of some hastily made fundamental changes to the sport itself you can't really know if it's organic or not.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 Lol, Silvergun's pitching is farther ahead of 2nd than 2nd is of 8th. Just bonkers
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 10, 2018 Posted July 10, 2018 I've actually won 7 consecutive weeks now, and my hitting is still 16th. Really shows how f***ing bad my offense was in the first quarter of the year.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Did Matt Barnes actually get a win and a hold in the same game?
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Hey Boxy, was going to float a Matt Kemp trade to you, but then I saw you Connor thread... safe to say its a no-go? Seriously tho, if you are looking for an OF, hit me up.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 If he played 2B or 3B maybe stranger things have happened! (see; Matt Kemp being good again)

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 11, 2018 Posted July 11, 2018 Niko Goodrum Daniel Mengden (before he got hurt) Jurickson Profar Jose Peraza Mark Canha Albert Amora Jr. Teoscar Hernandez Solarte? I kinda expect most of those guys to suck going forward.
