BTS Community Moderator Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 I'd probably have one to spare if Houston wasn't run by a buncha dummies. Meh. Gurriel had a 118 wRC+ in the majors and Reed 124 in AAA. Houston probably played the right guy.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 To Hurl: Eugenio Suárez, Andrelton Simmons, Nate Pearson To Zeros: Corey Knebel To TCA: Eric Hosmer, Lucas Erceg
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 To Hurl: Eugenio Suárez, Andrelton Simmons, Nate Pearson To Zeros: Corey Knebel To TCA: Eric Hosmer, Lucas Erceg Confirmed. I can't remember the off season rule. Can someone let me know if I have to drop a prospect now.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 No, unlimited prospects til Spring cuts.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 That's pretty nice for TCA, imo.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 That's pretty nice for TCA, imo. Until Hos has his even number year 100 wRC+ and I get him back next off-season for pennies on the dollar. Don't mess with obvious patterns. I like Hos and I put up with a year of ridicule for my trade...then f***ing Min wasn't even around for the recovery season. I really do like Pearson (like best pitcher in the minors next year like...I chose him over Knebel which was the original offer), and Guerriel came up short on getting 3B eligibility...so I have Maikel Franco as my only option there. Simmons is just a throw in.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 I'm all in on Nate Pearson, he's a front-line starter unless he gets hurt.
Laika Community Moderator Posted November 1, 2017 Author Posted November 1, 2017 By all-in I mean I own zero shares and I liked one gif of his mechanics I saw on twitter

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 I like Kev's side, good trade overall, you all got what you need.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted November 1, 2017 Posted November 1, 2017 Updated my trade block. These guy can be had for picks/pick upgrades. Tim Anderson - He's fast, plays positions, put it together at the end of the year, and he hits for power now Yasmany Tomás - He has a high SLG% Albert Pujols - HOFer Andrew Toles - Last year's sleeper guy Max Schrock - Future MVP Steven Brault - Prospect pitcher Carter Capps - He throws a baseball Fernando Rodney - Clozer And I stress the fact these guys are CHEAP
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 You guys don't give KATOH enough credit. https://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/the-players-katoh-got-right-in-2017/

Saying you were "right" on Hoskins because you had him ranked #14 and "right" on Olson because you had him ranked #43 is pretty dubious. So you ranked them marginally higher than the industry average, congrats. You still drastically underestimated them just like everyone else. If you knew how good they actually were, you would have had them both much higher.

Also, saying marginally better is a bit hilarious considering all of these guys missed several top 100 lists. Plus, while Vlad Jr. was said to only be on peoples' radar because of his name, KATOH was on him immediately. For fantasy, seems like using just KATOH is way better than using scouty lists.

I was on Vlad a year before KATOH so you can all eat my shorts.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I really want an Eloy KK, HMU plz I'm such an idiot.
BTS Community Moderator Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 I'm such an idiot. What did you trade Eloy for?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2017 Posted November 2, 2017 Meh, you never know. He could still be Jorge Soler, Dom Brown, etc. It's always impossible to predict who will actually pan out.
