ok that was f***ing intense. We own so many Cubs and Cards between our teams it was crazy.

 

Quintana was going well till he blew up. Then CJ Edwards (mine) came in. Maybe he can snipe the win. Nope, then Bowman (JB's) pitches clean. Maybe HE can snipe the win. Then Strop (mine) comes in, promptly get in big trouble. Then HE gets out of it and snipes the win... that eventually is critical in the match.

 

That and a bunch of other little stuff like Diekman getting a multi inning save instead of the tying hold.

We didn't really pick up on the trophy idea but it's something I've wanted to do for a while, full support of it in any rendition.

 

I did buy that paper folded trophy template and I think it will work. I put one together with s***** printer paper and a glue stick (not the right adhesive) and I'm confident it will eventually work. I just have to play around with what paper weight to use and get some super glue. The wife is real busy with other projects ATM as well, but we'll eventually get to modifying the PDF to make the trophy more league specific.

 

SG, if you can just let me win the finals, I'll have lots of time to get it right over the OS

Puig's had a .380 wOBA in the second half and Hendricks has an ERA under 3 after his hand injury, so the Correa trade is starting to look a bit better but holy f***, what in god's name happened to Aledmys Diaz? How do you go from a .370 wOBA (and half of that was even prior to the juice ball!) in the majors to a .305 wOBA in AAA?!

 

I mean, I guess thank jesus Bregman got SS but it's not like Diaz was just having flukey luck. Hopefully Paddack comes back next year and continues being the beast he was prior to TJ.

Honestly, Correa and Puig have gone completely different directions in the second half. Correa is sporting a FORTY wRC+ post AS break while Puig is around 130 and Hendricks is making gains. Obviously not good to take a favourable sample like that and judge, but the trade itself may not be as bad as everyone thought, especially depending on Paddack who will be ready for ST.

 

However, you can lick my hairy taint if you honestly thought Diaz would be this bad. No one thought he would be this bad. I could have handled a slight hit, maybe a 115 wRC+ but 77 in AAA? Holy f***.
