Just some food for thought, but Brent Suter might be something.

His repertoire reminds me a little bit of that of Kyle Hendricks, except Suter throws a slider instead of a sinker, in addition to the 86 MPH-4SFB, CH combo. According to Pitch Info, Suter does possess a curveball, though, like Hendricks, it's seldom used. They both rely heavily on the fastball (70% usage).

Suter's fourseamer has a K rate over 20%, while the slider induces whiffs at a 22% rate. The changeup, unfortunately, lags behind at 13%, but it's probably because there's only a 5 MPH difference between it and his fourseamer, allowing hitters to tee off on it so far to the tune of a .571 AVG.

If Suter could shave 2-3 MPH off of his CH, he'd likely have hitters well out in front of it, subsequently leading to a few more whiffs and a pretty deadly pitch mix.

I hope he figures it out, because if he does he could be here to stay.

He's kind of amazing. Also failed to mention his ISO has gone up at every level, now sitting at .288 in AAA.

I'll probably regret this in the winter, but I'm going to call up Rafael Devers. This kid is a beast.

I imagine you're going to trade someone from your infield then? You're not exactly scuffling for 3B/UTIL options.

Nah I decided to jettison Granderson, who has been useless for a month now. I wouldn't mind trading Ryon Healy though.

That last minute Melky trade got me, Odubel would've been in. Ah well, I made a decent comeback this week. Score a run Crawford, stay on the the bench Joc, good week Torontofan.

I'd like to move Gerardo Parra for a waiver or MiLB pick. CF/1B eligibility and slashing 354/376/531.

Sorry I haven't responded to deals...my wifi is as spotty as the neighbourhood at my rental in Winnipeg. Springer injury and getting my ass kicked last week has again changed my tune. If I make big moves for a starter I'll do it in the off season. As some of you already know, on September 1st I'll be moving to Hay River Northwest Territories for an 8 month contract with the Arctic Winter Games. I don't assume that there will be much for nightlife so I don't see it affecting my offseason, except for maybe the Waiver draft and I'll do lists if needed.

Been there. Bring a lot of mosquito repellent. AWG are fun though.

Xander Bogaerts kinda sucks now.

He's still young though he isn't one of the top shortstops offensively to own in fantasy as you would have thought when you dropped his name. Has a .750 OPS with only 6 HR's and 9 SB's this season thus far. I don't see him posting better numbers than 2015 or 2016 moving forward.

So Yahoo is 10 GS for positional eligibility?

I'm crossing my fingers BOS plays Eduardo enough to make him the coveted 2B, SS, 3B, OF :P

5 started or 10 appearances. You can go to players -> position eligibility to see it.

May be looking at trading newly appointed closer Shane Greene. He would be an intriguing target as he has both SP and RP eligibility as well as little competition for the closer role.

"Tigers manager Brad Ausmus said Monday that Shane Greene will be the team's closer following the trade of Justin Wilson."

Still shopping Nelson Cruz if any team is interested in a big power bat. As well, could part with other bats like CF Dexter Fowler, CF Eddie Rosario, and 1B/OF Matt Adams.

If anyone wants to roll the dice on Tyson Ross, could move him for a draft pick.

I would like to acquire Buster Posey. Sound good?

If only I picked up Mike Zunino when he was a FA.

I'll listen to offers on Posey. Probably will be tough to move him, though I'm not opposed to it.

I'm very curious as to what red flags jaysblue is seeing in Cruz to make him sell so aggressively before the playoffs.

I don't see any major red flags with Cruz other than his age moving forward. Mariners keeping him as a DH primarily should keep him fresh and should help him avoid nagging injuries. Haven't seen any signs of a major decline with him. I'd prefer to keep Cruz obviously for down the stretch in a perfect world. If I could add another SP that is similar in value, I don't mind rotating Adams and Grichuk in one of my OF or DH spots.

Probably just looking to cash out an ancient slugger before he declines beyond any trade value. Miguel Cabrera and Jose Bautista became league average hitters overnight.
