So...Aaron Judge looks like he's a thing.

 

Obviously his 54% hr/fb rate won't continue but from last year his o-swing is down 10%, zone contact is up 7%, contact is up 10%, swing rate is down 5% and swingstrk is down 7%. Pretty remarkable turnaround/adjustments from last year.

Judge is going to go through stretches where his swing is messed up because he's so tall, but man can he ever rake when he's going good. I wish I owned him somewhere.

His plate coverage is insane. I don't think you can pitch him away - his arms are so f***ing long he can put the barrel on anything out there. To get it off the barrel you need to be 6 inches outside, and his plate discipline seems really good so he'll just take those all day.

 

I'm not sure how teams have been trying to pitch him but I would think that up and in would be the hardest thing for him to hit.
