Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I probably would. Kershaw is quite a bit better than Sale. This. He had a 15 K:BB last year.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Page 2291 is full of lies. I want to announce a real blockbuster like that though. It's been my dream. I'm hardly in any big deals. You acquired far and away the best pitcher of the decade. I'd call that a blockbuster, jabroni.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 And yeah. Kershaw > Sale + Vlad + Duvall for me.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I probably would. Kershaw is quite a bit better than Sale. Not that much better, plus he's older and has recent back problems.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Not that much better, plus he's older and has recent back problems. 1 year, but to put it in example, he missed 10 starts and still finished #2 in the player rater. You're devaluing the impact of his K:BB!
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Remember when TCA traded Kershaw for Teheran and Archie Bradley?
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 What can Nolan Arenado get me? Hmm...
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 1 year, but to put it in example, he missed 10 starts and still finished #2 in the player rater. You're devaluing the impact of his K:BB! I'm not dismissing what he did last year, but that's 3x as good as his career K/BB, and shan't be repeated.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I think it would be a tough choice. Wasn't Sale supposed to be injury prone? Vladdy might be just enough to tip the scales
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 What time does the Bryant auction officially close?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Remember when TCA traded Kershaw for Teheran and Archie Bradley? And yet my organization is still in better shape than yours.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 What time does the Bryant auction officially close? Gonna save this for a random Friday night. Stay tuned!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I think it would be a tough choice. Wasn't Sale supposed to be injury prone? Vladdy might be just enough to tip the scales Kershaw has like 600 more IP on his arm than Sale. It's nigh time to abandon ship.
BTS Community Moderator Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 And yet my organization is still in better shape than yours. Yes, until the liquor decides to trade Bryant.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Kershaw has like 600 more IP on his arm than Sale. It's nigh time to abandon ship. He should probably take a couple offseasons and learn to pitcher with his right arm.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 He should probably take a couple offseasons and learn to pitcher with his right arm. Some of the dudes in my dodgeball league are ambi-throwers and it's crazy impressive.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Some of the dudes in my dodgeball league are ambi-throwers and it's crazy impressive. Sometimes I wonder if some of the ultra talented pitchers could do it and still be atleast average to above average with their other arm. Just to extend their career.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 Some of the dudes in my dodgeball league are ambi-throwers and it's crazy impressive. I didn't know you were allowed to swing both ways in gay dodgeball.

Imagine what his WAR would be?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 I didn't know you were allowed to swing both ways in gay dodgeball. Well the one who's really good at it is straight and on Team Canada.

Laika Community Moderator Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 [RE: JD Martinez article on his fly ball swing] Of course not everyone is buying in. Max Kepler said the philosophy is “Completely bogus.” “Whenever I’m in doubt, I try to hit long ground balls to level my swing back out. I’m the complete opposite of what I hear people saying now days,” Kepler said. SELL SELL SELL all of your shares in Max Kepler! The Twins are awful. I bet Buxton spends his entire BP trying to squirt groundballs through the right side.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 SELL SELL SELL all of your shares in Max Kepler! The Twins are awful. I bet Buxton spends his entire BP trying to squirt groundballs through the right side. omg I bet when he sucks, he'll wonder why, too.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 8, 2017 Author Posted March 8, 2017 What does "long ground balls" even mean? He tries to roll them to the outfield wall? lmao
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 What does "long ground balls" even mean? He tries to roll them to the outfield wall? lmao Like a one-hopper right to the SS; you know, the ideal batted ball.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted March 8, 2017 Posted March 8, 2017 What does "long ground balls" even mean? He tries to roll them to the outfield wall? lmao I mean, JD isn't exactly correct either since his approach wouldn't work for a guy like DJ LeMahieu but to say it's a completely bogus philosophy? GTFO. I hate the Twins. They are going to ruin Suxton and Sano.
