Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Okay, guys, can we stop picking on my pen. Sorry guys, I'm a little late to the party.. If 42 year old Billy Koch came out of retirement and was added by you, he would be the second best option in your pen. EDIT: Oh Neris was traded? Nevermind then, Koch would clearly be your ace.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 The better question: will Gibbers every try to make the playoffs, in any dynasty league? Gibbers' teams are the equivalent of when you want to blow a really, really good load. You slowly build it up, being very disciplined, and just when the team is about to explode, you pull back the reins and trade your entire team for picks and prospects. You repeat this process for 20 years. After 20 seasons of building it up, trading it all, building it up, trading it all.. when you finally let loose, go for it all, and capture that championship after so many years of pain and misery...... dear god, someone get the man a box of kleenex.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 STD is on fire tonight. Possibly one of the best one letter typos of all time.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 STD is on fire tonight. Ouch. Do you have ointment for that?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Ouch. Do you have ointment for that? Sandpaper might take it off
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Kebryan Hays for Josh Tomlin
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Sandpaper might take it off You know this from experience, or? Can't say I've ever heard of that method for dealing with various stds.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 You don't want too heavy of a grit though
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 4, 2017 Author Posted February 4, 2017 Kebryan Hays for Josh Tomlin confirmed!

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 (edited) If anyone wants to take a flyer on Jayson Werth, he is available for a pick. Should still give a decent season batting 6th in the Nats lineup. EDIT: I have some interest here, so I'll move him for the best pick I get. If someone can move a pick in the 40-60 range for him, I'll accept the first offer in that range that I get. Edited February 4, 2017 by Fearthedoc
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Will also move Cesar Hernandez for a 3rd round pick if anyone wants a 26 year old 2B with a .760 OPS last year!
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 MiLB 58 to FeatherD for Cesar Hernandez
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Howie Kendrick (eligible at 1B, 2B, 3B, OF) is available for a MiLB upgrade on pick 92.

havok24 Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 Wong, Alvarez, Rasmus, Gennett, Beef Welington, and Kevin Pillar available for a pick. PM me if you have any interest.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 4, 2017 Posted February 4, 2017 GD and I are meeting tomorrow morning to discuss the team entering the 2017 season. You can send us trade proposals and we'll discuss them. Sounds very professional.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I'll be having a few adult beverages tonight so if anyone wants to make trades around 3-4 am(AST) send some offers along.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Z3r0s has put together a great offense with some nice young front end SP. I believe he still has a good farm too? Its cool seeing teams that were poor for a while transition into the next wave of perrenial competitors. Then seeing perrenial competitors like me transition into s*** in two years
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Z3r0s has put together a great offense with some nice young front end SP. I believe he still has a good farm too? Its cool seeing teams that were poor for a while transition into the next wave of perrenial competitors. Then seeing perrenial competitors like me transition into s*** in two years Yeah his lineup is pretty solid & balanced. As well, he has some nice young arms at the top of his rotation. Hope Martinez avoids TJS and you have to hope Sanchez builds off his strong 2016 season. Richards and Wood staying healthy is a must as well. All he needs is another top bat to plug in at UTL and perhaps trade for a top closer or two. Otherwise, he'll definitely have a chance at making the playoffs.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 These are my keepers C- Mike Zunino 1B- AJ Reed 2B- Steve Pearce 3B- Alex Bregman SS- Aledmys Diaz OF- Yasiel Puig OF- Danny Valencia UTIL- Mike Moustakas BN- Brandon Drury BN- Jesse Winker BN- Tyler White SP- Jeff Hoffman SP- Kyle Hendricks SP- Steven Matz SP- José Berrios RP- Chris Devenski RP- Greg Holland RP- Adam Ottavino RP- Tony Watson RP- Trevor Rosenthal Cuts: Rubby De La Rosa Drew Hutchison Clayton Blackburn Will Harris Byung Ho Park Hunter Dozier Also, I'm gonna drop Forrest Wall from my farm. And yeah, don't worry, I got it. http://i.imgur.com/bkMGxmY.gif
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 If a few select players really step up and shove in 2017 (Berrios, Hoffman, Bregman, Zunino, Reed) then I could see Boxy making the playoffs. I think you should cut Tyler White though.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Would have looked better with Correa.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I'll give you pick 80 for Wall Boxy How could you possibly roster a minor leaguer in your 20?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 I'm cutting Hernan Perez and that's all.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 My cuts look like Derek Dietrich Scott Schebler Wily Peralta Juan Nicasio If anyone wants one of those dudes lemme know. Dietrich looks like a True Cardinal, just sayin I could also still trade pitching for an OF. Pomeranz, Fiers, Liriano, Waino, Rondon, Brach, Jim Johnson would be the pool. Could 2 for 1.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 5, 2017 Author Posted February 5, 2017 He's got front of the rotation stuff baby http://m.mlb.com/video/v1116009183/stlmil-peralta-strikes-out-10-over-seven-innings/?query=wily+peralta
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 5, 2017 Posted February 5, 2017 Dinger told me he thinks Wily Peralta is primed for a big 2017. e: NJH peddling Jim Johnson will never not be funny to me. That doesn't sound like something I'd say.
