TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Probably around 5-6 PM EST. Protest march is arranged for 5:30 if it's not opened.

P2F Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 to Dinger: Sean Manaea Kelvin Herrera to me: Francisco Mejia Christin Stewart Brad Brach Sam Dyson Everybody, bow down to Dinger's bullpen. I like it for you. Mejia and his future 70 hit tool are a nice haul. Stewart is a wildcard at the moment, but if he hits enough it won't matter where he plays (even DH). Nice job on getting two quality relievers for one.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It actually makes a lot of sense for both parties.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Mejia is what matters though Dyson as a throw in is a nice touch.
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 you did fantastic in that deal I was really happy with the amount of interest Manaea garnered. I received four competitive offers, including yours. I suppose when you put a young, established, good SP on the block basically every owner will have interest.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Robbie Ray is available for those who lost out on the Manaea sweepstakes.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 njh, we doing the deal we had discussed?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Everybody, bow down to Dinger's bullpen. Confirmed.
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 njh, we doing the deal we had discussed? I still want to. If I can flip an RP for a prospect or good pick then yes. Give me a day
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I do like Mejia a lot and it was tough to part with him, but catcher attrition is always a bitch and he won't debut til probably 2018. I don't think he'll have a lot of power, I see him as more of a Yadi Molina type bat (which is still really good!). I have Sal Perez and McCann, which is a solid platoon, and hopefully Alfaro becomes fantasy relevant also. I like Manaea quite a bit, I think he'll be an SP2 as soon as this year. I wanted Herrera as an upgrade on one of those two RPs, but NJH wasn't having it, and ultimately I would have had to cut or trade one subsequently anyway so I threw him a bone.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It's always a bit scary dealing with NJH, you get that feeling of dread that he knows something you're not onto yet.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It's always a bit scary dealing with NJH, you get that feeling of dread that he knows something you're not onto yet. Steven Wright is going to have a CY season

I'll open this up to others. I need to move a prospect and I'm looking for a pitcher. #4 starter or good reliever (don't care if it's saves or holds)

Laika Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Sam Dyson and waiver 28 to thehurl Justus Sheffield and waiver 50 to me BTS you can post our swap now if you're still on.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 It's always a bit scary dealing with NJH, you get that feeling of dread that he knows something you're not onto yet. I completed two with him this week. I've decided to confront my fears. oh yeah and confirmed
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Wright to njh for MiLB 19. confirmed
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 That's a pretty high pick for Wright. Not egregious but I like it for a team in BTS' cycle.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 (edited) We can call it a 4 way deal. To NJH Steven Wright Brad Brach Francisco Mejia Justus Sheffield Christin Stewart #50 Waiver To Dinger Sean Manaea Kelvin Herrera To Hurl Sam Dyson #28 waiver To BTS #19 MiLB Edited January 26, 2017 by TheHurl

To NJH Steven Wright Brad Brach Francisco Mejia Justus Sheffield Christin Stewart #50 Waiver To Dinger Sean Manaea Kelvin Herrera To Hurl Sam Dyson #28 waiver To BTS #19 MiLB #50 Waiver Looks like BTS made out like a bandit here. Also, there's a random #50 waiver pick just floating at the end.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Best piece there is easily Manaea.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 That's a pretty high pick for Wright. Not egregious but I like it for a team in BTS' cycle. I definitely wouldn't have done it I was more serious about winning this year.
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 26, 2017 Author Posted January 26, 2017 Manaea, Herrera, pick #19, waiver #28 for Wright, Brach, Mejia, Sheffield, Stewart, waiver #50 I know I overpaid in terms of market value for Wright but I wanted all of this to work together. I have a gut feeling about Wright. I kind of think his 2016 was basically true-talent.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 I think you stocked up your farm significantly without taking much if any of a hit to your 2017 odds. None of those prospects would make it to #19 if they were in our MiLB draft.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted January 26, 2017 Posted January 26, 2017 Best piece there is easily Manaea. Dinger has the depth and pays enough attention to stash him away when he plays the right-handed heavy teams on the road. So I suppose I he's okay.
