Laika Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 I think we can all agree that the biggest omission here was MARK ZAGUNIS. Must have been a mistake by BP. Chris Paddack has a 0.388 WHIP lmao
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Chris Paddack has a 0.388 WHIP lmao That's pretty good.
Laika Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 I don't understand how you can follow baseball these days and heavily ding a corner outfield prospect for not having a big power tool... left fielders don't hit like they used to and prospect outfield defense evaluations are routinely inaccurate. That the prospect has some athleticism, just turned 20 and is crushing AA should carry the day. Tweener profiles work both ways! From a LF perspective it's as much a compliment about their athleticism/defense as it is a negative about their offense. The only position where a tweener profile is a problem really is C, since it's on an island of its own and not on the spectrum like you and Cyborg.

BTS Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Anyone have interest in Howie Kendrick? Slow start, but he's been doing his regular thing lately, and has 1B, 2B, 3B, OF eligibility. Best fit would be an SP 4 or 5.
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2016 Posted July 7, 2016 Ugh going to have to resort to unconventional tactics to try to pull this one out, freakin' True Cards always f*** me over. It's not even the weekend. I'm going to lose like 11-3.

Laika Community Moderator Posted July 7, 2016 Author Posted July 7, 2016 Anyone give me a 3rd milb or a 3rd-->2nd waiver upgrade for Romo btw? I'll do the 2-->3 waiver thing for him. Could use a reliever with upside.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 I feel somewhat vindicated seeing Eloy on there and not Verdugo. I have questioned my decision to go with the former over the later in the draft a lot. .
BTS Community Moderator Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 It would appear as though Dinger sold Trayce Thompson just in time.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 this was foreseeable... although it was scary to watch the power keep going there for a while.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted July 8, 2016 Posted July 8, 2016 . Yeah it's rough when you draft a prospect really early and have to decide whether they are worth waiting on or not.

One is a SS. The other has to be traded to be one, and even with that might not be one. One has gone Cal, Texas and PCL, the other has gone Northwest, Carolina and Southern. Bregman might have the best bat control in the minors and be top 10 in the majors too...but I don't buy him being a power hitter in the majors. I really do like him but I don't consider it egregious to put Swanson ahead of him. Putting Trea Turner ahead of both is however.
