So assuming we all think Robles is the top pick (or at least Min does, which is what matters), you must think there are 2 more current minor leagues who are slam dunks to go ahead of Groome/Puk/Ray/Lewis. Who might they be?

Namedropping is uncouth but I have a couple in mind that fit that criteria for sure

Heh, I appreciate it reads that way but I was more marveling at how difficult it is to keep a ~10 win pace, I feel like I needed a dose of fortune already to even make it roughly halfway there, and one crushing loss basically means game over.

Not really, because you will have a few 12-14 win blowouts as well.

+ Pint belongs in that group

I tend to veer away from HS arms because the roadmap is so long. I hate the idea of drafting a Kolek and missing on a Nola. Groome seems like the likely 1-1 so I would make an exception, if I ever had a pick that high.

Puk/Lewis seem to be the most likely to go 1-1 from what I read, or Mickey Moniak who would be a stupid pick.

Puk sounds a lot like Mark Appel

It's getting harder to count on those, some of the cupcakes are starting to grow fangs!

Also if anyone's interested in any of my prospects hit me up, got some trade stew bubbling.

You know where to find me sir. I still think you're crazy to not trade for Miller

Taking a pitcher that high is scary. What if you end up with a Rodon or Appel :(

You like Dan Vogelbach?

Is the price tag Blake Snell or Dahl? That would be pretty steep. I'd give up Domingo for Miller, though... probably.

Please don't do this

won't get any negotiation details out of me!

But yes, I am in full trade mode. Another bomb for Naps the other night too. Don't miss the hot streak!

Rodon is pretty decent, unless you were expecting an instant-ace. 3.89/3.96/3.97 and 2.8 WAR with 193 K over his first 196 IP, that's plenty useful. He's shaved the walk rate this year but is getting unlucky with homers.

Well I already know who you want from me, so it's pretty easy to deduce who you'd want from my competitors.

I was hoping you'd bite harder, but the troll was probably too obvious.

I still very much like Rodon.

I regret passing on Tanaka when that was on the table, although I'm happy for you that you landed Mazara.

He must be asking for Crawford? I don't think you'd decline Miller for the Cubs catcher guy, and there's nothing else appropriate.

Eh, I've been trolled soooo many times about Rodon, I'm immune now. For me he's something like Lance Lynn or Francisco Liriano, but in a bad park. There are some clunkers but at least the Ks are there on the whole.

Is there anyone rooted against more without any level of success than TCA?

Jaysblue maybe? Although he has a division title at least..

The Cubs catcher guy? You mean the one with the .431 wOBA in AAA who looks like the next Buster Posey? I prefer him to Crawford at this point but I'm in no position to trade either as far as my future is concerned.

Do people actually actually root against TCA? The least successful of the heels has to be jaysblue.

Jaysblue has been a quiet citizen this season, hard to throw any shade his way. I just really enjoy watching TCA hand away his great assets for seemingly capricious reasons.

For the record, z3r0s hasn't said I could have Miller for Contreras, although I would definitely do that deal if I were him. Contreras is arguably a Top 10 prospect at this point, and far and away the best catching prospect in baseball from an offensive standpoint.

It's hard to get behind catcher prospects. How many big time C prospects have become top fantasy assets in the last decade? Just Posey?

North is the best heel. It's not even close.

And I mean best at being a heel, but he also is likely the most successful of the heels. Those two things are also likely related.

Posey, Mauer, Scharber, to a lesser extent D'Arnaud, Mesoraco and Grandal. Jesus Montero and Zunino flopped, but I see that as more of a Seattle thing than a catcher thing. Wieters was supposed to be the next big thing but ended up being just ok.

Right, Mauer. Him and Posey worked out, but you also have the corpses of Grandal, Mesoraco, Montero, d'Arnaud, Wieters, and Zunino in recent memory. Catching is hard.

Add Alfaro to the next Catcher to be huge in the MLB
