Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Note to self: go awol binge drinking in central Europe for 10 days and North will beat you and brag about it
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Wow, True Cards bats are 12th overall? I don't think I've ever ranked so high this late in the season. Unfortunately, my pitching suxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 How have I never heard of Adam Duvall before this season? This guy is a revelation. Probably going to Trumbo his way to 35 HR this year.

That conversation was specifically in regard to 2014 Trumbo. 2011-2013 Trumbo was a fine secondary asset, 2015 Trumbo was more of the same. Obviously, you are basking in the glow of Career Year Trumbo, as you should.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Gotta love Trumbo. Walking less then ever... striking out more than ever... mashing da ball
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Gotta love Trumbo. Walking less then ever... striking out more than ever... Go back a couple weeks to BTS' bragging posts about Trumbo's improved discipline... regression is great. I'm sure his chunky ass can sustain a .342 BABIP, though! His BABIP might actually even be undersold a bit because his HR/FB is ridiculously high, so quite a few of his BIPs haven't even been counted as BIPs.

I think you underestimate the magical powers of Buck Showalter.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Adam Duvall is just a straight-up hacker, but he's in the right park to do it.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I think you underestimate the magical powers of Buck Showalter. Buck Showalter is the reason Chris Davis and Nelly Cruz emerged as elite power hitters.

That's a legitimate improvement, and when you hit the ball as hard as he does, being more selective for pitches in the zone will yield better results. He won't keep hitting 0.293, but his projected line of 262/316/493 with 35-HR power seems very reasonable.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I can't believe the draft is right around the corner. Seems like I haven't thought about it nearly as much this year. But on that note, I will deal assets for good picks or a prospect I like. Intriguing or semi-intriguing assets include; - Mike Napoli - Eduardo Nunez - Ivan Nova - CC Sabathia (strangely pitching well) - Pedro Strop - Matt Bush Also still shopping Andrew Miller, but asking for a good prospect in return at the least.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Yeah, I also have some things to do before the draft. For starters I'm willing to move pick 41 for a 2nd rounder in 2017.

As a commissioner, you should probably know by now that this is impossible within the parameters of our league.

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Alternatively, I have a few interesting prospects that could be moved: Wulimer Becerra (21) 133 wRC+ in A+ Mark Zagunis (23) 145 wRC+ in AA Nellie Rodriguez (21) 149 wRC+ in AA

BTS Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Will process the first part on the sheet today, and the PTBNL after the draft.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I wish my pitching didn't suck monkey tits.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 I wish my pitching didn't suck monkey tits. Want Nova and CC to try and prop it up?
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Sabathia feels like a TRM guy. Armed with his knee brace and clear of his alcohol addiction, he could have a few sneaky good years left.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 30, 2016 Posted May 30, 2016 Welp, with the draft imminent, I guess I'm calling up Mazara. Doesn't look like I'll have a shot to stash him on the MiLB roster this summer, so I might as well make another pick. If he gets injured right after this and costs him ~80 PA's, Imma be pissed.

He can't get poached this draft, the earliest he could get stolen is the Waiver draft next Feb.

It's just me betting that he'll get more than 500 PA's this year, so I may as well get an extra pick in this draft. I'd have to carry him as a MLB asset this fall anyway.
