z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 his arm will likely esplode at any moment yes, he's a pitchers, we all understand that... but still
AdamGreenwood Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 So is it just me, or is 175/7 a little light for Stras? It is. That's why there is an opt out clause.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 It is. That's why there is an opt out clause. but after the 3rd and 4th years... I don't get it. He could have got way more if he just stayed healthy through this year.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Maybe he just really likes it in Washington.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 if he just stayed healthy through this year. How small or big of an "if" is that? Without digging to deep into it, it seems like Stras is one of those guys who is always on the cusp of an injury.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 So what do we make of Trevor Story? Obviously tearing the cover off the ball. Striking out a lot at 33%, but seeing a lot of pitches per PA at 4.39 and walking at respectable 9%. BABIP creeping up a bit now that all his balls aren't leaving the yard. Should be a useful player at worst, but I wonder where he settles in.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 ok, so we got the sour opinion out of the way, and the surly opinion out of the way... what do peeps actually think of how his skill set plays out. Genuinely interested in knowing what others think of a guy with an odd profile.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I'd say I'm surly, sour and sore. I am sorry for miscategorizing your pain
TRM Verified Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Trevor Story for Mark Appel, who says no?
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 For some reason I was under the impression that Appel had been pitching well in AAA, but that is not the case at all.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I'd say I'm surly, sour and sore. I hope Story is the top SS for the next decade.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Can you explain it to me? It's AJ Pollock breaking his arm.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 Tanaka is being pretty ace-ly however.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 I don't have to hope for s*** about Mazara, you trading him is already really, really funny. See, that's just mean... You already have enough studs on your team. I don't!
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 10, 2016 Posted May 10, 2016 The results are great, but a guy with some seriously shaky elbow history throwing a splitter 38% and slider 25% of the time makes me think you were wise to cash in. I won't lie... owning him is like living with the sword of damocles looming over you (to channel my inner scully)
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 (edited) The results are great, but a guy with some seriously shaky elbow history throwing a splitter 38% and slider 25% of the time makes me think you were wise to cash in. Ya, but he's Asian. They're automatically healthier, so you can probably subtract 5 years off his age. So really, he has the body of a 22 year old. Case in point = Hiroki Kuroda (Who also is heavy on the splitter/slider combo) Edited May 11, 2016 by The Cats Ass
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Man, why can't Rubby do this every start?
TRM Verified Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Three weeks in a row against the top three in the PRs is a real kick in the nuts
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Three weeks in a row against the top three in the PRs is a real kick in the nuts you are smacking me thus far though...forgot to remove Vargas from my rotation. Whoopsie
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Three weeks in a row against the top three in the PRs is a real kick in the nuts That probably means your ROS schedule is a cookie. Come out of that stretch with your head above water and you're golden.

SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Imagine if I played Beltran on Monday imagine if goats could fly
TRM Verified Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 imagine if goats could fly I'd pay good money to see that.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I'd pay good money to see that.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Mark Trumbo is good. I hope this sell-high is glorious.
TRM Verified Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 I hope this sell-high is glorious. Mark Trumbo for Mark Appel. Who says no?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 11, 2016 Posted May 11, 2016 Mark Trumbo for Mark Appel. Who says no? Appel shouldn't be owned in a 240 prospect dynasty league, so I'm guessing BTS.
