TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Laptop died last night. Hate this site on my phone so likely won't be around for a bit. Only to get links for sites that I can't remember my password for anyway. Two weeks before finals too

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Oh o.k. Didn't realize they applied the same criteria though it makes sense given how liberal they seem to be with that stuff. So Swihart definitely has another year of C even if the Red Sox follow through on their plan to make him a full time outfielder (yuck). Decision makes no sense anyway. JBJ, Betts, Holt, Castillo, even Young are all probably more valuable in the OF than Swihart, and then they have Mike Trout Jr. probably done cooking in a year or two. So glad the Red Sox are dumn now but might take awhile before the Dombrowski effect fully takes over.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 The elbow thing is terrible since he's busted it before. Screw came loose and the thing lost structural viability, which is why it snapped so easy this time. I'm not sure how many times you can screw into someone's elbow and have them still remain a high level athlete. Would buy though. Great opportunity for one of the rebuilders. So end of the day, Appel for Pollock mind end up being perfectly fair. oh man, I can't even tell you guys how awesome this is. Obviously I don't like players getting hurt, especially exciting ones like Pollock, but just the thought of Min's s*** eating grin while he posts continuous burns all year and then imagining his priceless look when he discovered the news...I am not a big enough man to say I am not enjoying it.

Have you made your rebuilder's buy low offer on Pollock yet?
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 So was the trade Yadi for Swihart straight up?
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 So was the trade Yadi for Swihart straight up? Yes.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Yes. Pretty nice deal for both teams.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Pretty nice deal for both teams. Given my irrational hate of Yadier and equally irrational love of Phegley, I was pretty pleased.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Given my irrational hate of Yadier and equally irrational love of Phegley, I was pretty pleased. Yadier sucks these days. Might not even be better than Phegley assuming PT. I like it for you but I was never big on Swihart in the first place, so I think it will all be inconsequential. Just another reason why you should never put any stock into catching prospects.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I have a hard time believing Molina is suddenly going to become fantasy relevant again. I would take the Swihart side for the upside, although they are probably both cut bait.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Appel + a 1st for Polllock? I offered Appel for Pollock straight up earlier but then decided against it because Appel might throw a pitch in the majors one day.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 Molina is pretty bad, but he might be better than nothing. He shouldn't really tank my ratios. I don't think anybody else was going to trade an active starting catcher for NA Swihart

Phegley barely plays but he's gives you good rates when he does. I wonder if his projections fail to capture just how judiciously the A's use him.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 I might consider trading MadBum.

Laika Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 Dynasty league fantasy baseball is basically the stock market, right?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Dynasty league fantasy baseball is basically the stock market, right? They're identical.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 http://www.fangraphs.com/fantasy/the-change-officially-worried-about-madison-bumgarner/ No discounts.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 They're identical. That's what I figured. Since I'm the best at this stuff, everybody give me $500 and I'll find us some good buy-low stoxxx
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Send me all your injured/slumping stars.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Lmfao, JJ Hoover might be the only closer in history who is completely unrosterable.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 16, 2016 Author Posted April 16, 2016 Trea Turner hitting .500 now down in AAA, with more walks than strikeouts. Guy looks like a stud. 11 - Pentecost 13 - Turner sigh
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 16, 2016 Posted April 16, 2016 Souza for Ross and Turner looks like a great deal for the Nats.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 Is it time to panic trade Trout?
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 lol, I've been super pissed as a first time owner in my redraft
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2016 Posted April 17, 2016 lol, I've been super pissed as a first time owner in my redraft Your own fault for scorning Bryce. Rotoworld said he's "unquestionably the best hitter in the game" I was telling you guys to pick Bryce instead of Trout, but noooooooooooo couldn't possibly break out of your rankings chains.
