Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I told you to hold Mazara. You just traded a generational hitter for a broken pitcher and a slap-happy shortstop who isn't going to be a shortstop. I agree. How many guys hit home runs in their first game? 100% he's a generational hitter, like the Pirates version of Barry Bonds.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Dinger is really making me hope Mazara busts hard.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Cut him some slack. He's obviously been anxiously waiting to do this all year and desperate for approval from the Lords of the DDL. I give my approval. It's never too early to start kissing our asses.

z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 God damn KK. You change your team name like you change your underwear (fairly regularly). I processed the picks on your trade. I assume you and BTS can handle the roster move.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I assume you and BTS can handle the roster move. Done.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I really didn't expect to want a longer look at Scooter Gennett at Gyorko's expense, but here we are.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 http://i.imgur.com/LkhWtJF.png Second best pitching...and I faced the best pitching. My offense is horrible. And this is the earliest that I hate my team. I won't do the big shakeup yet but one or two of my OF needs to move. In order of return from virtually nothing to first born; Cola, Kim, Saunders, Ozuna, Davis, Conforto, Springer.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 I hope Hazelbaker becomes my Charlie Blackmon 2.0 We really need to stop talking about Hazel Mae. Read this and though HazelBarKer.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Can someone remind of the activation rule for hitters?
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 8. Prospects may be kept on an MiLB roster until the following MLB conditions are met: Hitters: 500 career PA Pitchers: 26 career X [where X = GS + 0.5(relief appearances)] 9. Once a prospect has crossed one of the thresholds in rule 8 above, he/she must be promoted to the MLB roster no later than the next February Prospect Cutdown or the next Annual MiLB Draft Prospect Cutdown, whichever comes first. If a player crosses the playing time threshold but is not actively cut or promoted at the relevant cutdown, then they are effectively a free agent and they can be selected in the annual waiver draft or added as a free agent in Yahoo (The Jake Lamb rule).
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Daniel Norris is currently at 16 career X, so you probably won't be in any danger of losing him in the draft. He would have to make at least 10 starts between now and then.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Here are some guys who could be at risk if not promoted before the draft: Michael Conforto (unlikely, needs 287 more PA) Hector Olivera (extremely unlikely if not impossible, needs 396 PA) Michael Lorenzen (no one cares) Marco Gonzales (extremely unlikely) Domingo Santana (somewhat unlikely, needs 268 PA) Max Kepler (extremely unlikely) Byron Buxton (unlikely, needs 343 PA) Corey Seager (unlikely, needs 355 PA) Joey Gallo (pretty much impossible) Jon Gray (impossible, needs 17 starts) Blake Swihart (extremely likely, needs 176 PA) Only Swihart and Santana really figure to be at risk, and Norris if he gets healthy and makes all his starts.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Also Ketel Marte could hit the mark Yeah I missed him. He's pretty likely to be at risk, needs 224 PA.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Also Ketel Marte could hit the mark That's who I was thinking of though I might activate Norris and slide him to the DL just to make room (prefer not too though because he might still get yo-yo-ed around a bit before hitting the mark).
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 If Gregory Polanco can keep getting on base like this (to the tune of his MiLB numbers of ~.350) that would just be great.

Wow Norris has a fractured spine?
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Wow Norris has a fractured spine? Apparently it isn't a big deal (last I read), and sounds much worse than it is. Preferable to sounding better than it is I guess, but it sure sounds awful.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 11, 2016 Posted April 11, 2016 Wow Norris has a fractured spine? pairs well with his f***ing cancer... Its a wild ride owning the guy

Reports I saw suggested they don't expect Choo to miss much time though." - Abom If one quote is a good sample size, you know nothing about anything!

TRM Verified Member Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 Yovani in Fenway on a Monday, in 2016, what could go wrong? Take him down Boxy! Sometimes you play a hunch and it goes well. Sometimes you play a hunch and it goes worse than the Bay of Pigs.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 yeah I have him in redraft and that was just unpleasant
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 rocking a /.438/.733, feeling good... KK crushing me with a .550/.941 Day 1's are fun

Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
