That's a far cry from "he won't make it through ST"

The bottom line is that this isn't a new injury and he was really good still while pitching with it. Of course he could explode but I don't see it as particularly likely.

He sits 90-91, so there's not much room for error. He'll have to come back after not pitching for 17 months having not lost anything on his fastball for LA to give him a spot out of ST. I don't think we'll see him in April.

Is Pineda the last guy to come back from labrum surgery? It took him over two years and he lost 2 mph on his fastball, and that was in his early-mid 20s.

Edit: I guess Garcia is another.

I'm not saying he'll never come back, just that the odds are that he shows up throwing mid 80s and spends a rough year working his way back into pre-surgery form. Even if he does come all the way back, it's probably going to be a painful 2016. Maybe not, but most likely.

Friend of mine just had surgery for a torn labrum. Three months later and he still doesn't have close to full range of motion, and his doctor recommended that he doesn't play softball this summer.

Hi, five years.

So FAs are to go through waivers now, jes?

Also if someone would kindly schlurp Tolleson my way to complete my deal with havok, spot is available.

I thought this was a cool,

A-Rod the shortstop, 1994-2003: .308/.382/.581, 345 HR, 144 OPS+, 63.5 bWAR, 1 MVP award and 3 other top-3 finishes

A-Rod the third baseman/DH, 2004-present: .287/.383/.530, 342 HR, 140 OPS+, 55.3 bWAR, 2 MVP awards

He's basically had 2 borderline HOF careers.

Yet he will never see the Hall unless he pays for admission lol. Kinda sad really

Full text on the unilateral clock shrinking rule that was implemented mid-draft:

If an owner misses a draft window entirely then all of their subsequent windows for the current draft will be halved (this applies to the Rule 5 and Rule 4 draft). This penalty clock halving can occur twice during a draft. This means than an owner's pick windows can shrink from 12, to 6, to 3 hours if they miss two pick windows. Windows cannot shrink below 3 hours in length. In the event of extraordinary or unavoidable circumstances (for example, a hospital visit or family emergency) the penalty may be revoked or not implemented at the commissioner's discretion.

Text on unilateral rule changes made by me (they are still democratic, just in a backwards fashion):

The supreme commissioner NJH has the power to make any unilateral rule changes or actions that he thinks are in the best interest of the league.

Any league member can call for a league vote.

If 12 voting league members disagree with a rule change or action that has been implemented unilaterally by a commissioner, then the change shall be overturned.

If 11 voting league members disagree with a rule change or action that has been implemented unilaterally by a commissioner, then the vote will be passed or failed by a secondary vote of only commissioners, excluding the commissioner that implemented a unilateral change.

Also, I re-wrote a section of the rules on waiver pick trading during the draft and excess assets during the waiver draft (there was some confusion on whether trades need equal parts during the waiver draft. We will move away from that guideline going forward):

Owners cannot "hold" extra MLB assets (players + waiver picks) after the cut down date. This means that if an owner keeps 20 players and has 6 waiver picks (one acquired via trade), their worst pick disappears effective at the cut down date. This also applies to extra MLB assets acquired during the draft; if an owner that kept 20 players and has five waiver picks trades an MiLB pick or a prospect for a waiver pick or MLB player, their worst waiver pick disappears effective at the confirmation of said trade. An owner that has made all of their waiver picks and thus has 25 MLB players cannot make any trades during the waiver draft that would give them more MLB player(s), even if Yahoo would accommodate the trade (by, say, placing a player in an NA or DL slot).

It's been 2-3 days since the waiver draft. Does it really matter anymore? It's not like there was a frenzy to add players via free agency post draft.

I haven't really payed attention since my last pick. Figured everything's a go since moves have been made.

Well accordingly the rules all players go on 48h waivers at the conclusion, so I was waiting for that.

We'll have to wait for our fearless leader to come in and regulate.

This guy...

NJH - High Priest (Makes all the rules, has a lot of say and power. Ultimately everyone defers to him, but the basis of his power is sketchy, despite being recognized. Was more important at the beginning of time)

I don't care about specific players, just wanted to grab myself a shitbag too if it's time.

I'd probably just grab one. I'd be surprised if njh drops all added players just to waive everyone for 48 hours.

I thought it was "The Artist" rather than "That *******", but both are apt.

Hey TCA trade me one of your 7 CFs

You should prove your dominance by winning the MC while getting 0 starts from CF. Like fighting with one hand behind your back.
