Theyre similar in value though.

Yeah, but KingKat is in a position where little Seager is more attractive.

Wow, the remaining SP are trash. I took Trevor Cahill. Hoping for some sweet SP holds.

Gryff back up, whats the procedure given his last pick is expired? 6 hours or immediate skip?

Another 6 hours.

Nice pick. I was thinking of grabbing him, though the back end of the Cubs BP is pretty crowded. Still, he had a nice stint with the Cubs which is encouraging!

Kyle is a monster. Highly doubt Corey will be a better hitter than him.

BP ranked him as the top prospect with a 70 hit tool, though

Was it BP who said that Kyle was his floor? Someone said that anyways and it seems pretty egregious as a floor for any prospect but it does give an ideal of just how highly he's thought of.

Sorry, a career 115 wRC+ does not qualify him as a monster in any way, shape, or form. He is consistently useful and above average, but Corey has a much higher ceiling.

Safeco supresses him more than the park factors say because of his flyball profile. Id say hes a 130 guy in a different park.

Huh? Isn't that baked in? wRC+ is park adjusted, that's why I didn't start with wOBA (which is again mediocre). And Safeco is part of the package with Kyle, he's signed long-term.

Due to his flyball profile. 124 career wRC+ on the road.

I said better hitter not fantasy numbers.

Smoak is the prime examole. Didnt change much year to year but went from 79 wRC+ to 107 wRC+ Safeco to Rogers Centre. Park factors dont always apply to everyone, hitters that have more extreme profiles in more extreme parks can be grossly under or overvalued.

Smoak is a terrible example. Those were just the low and high ends of his normal career variance and they also come with platoon sample sizes. He's a career 96 wRC+, right in the middle of those two bookends.

How long you wager until he moves off short?

I traded him based on that presumably happening, watching this unfold has been upsetting.

I really don't understand how what Cyborg is saying doesn't seem plausible to you. Is it because you've gone full Gibbers and refuse to believe a young stud might not be a hall of fame level superstar?

He'll have at least 2 full years there, IMO. After that is anyone's guess, but I think he'll hold SS eligibility for a year or two even after transitioning. Even at 3B, he's a stud. Strong chance to put up multiple .900+ OPS seasons in his career (probably not before age 25 tho). Just a very special bat.
