The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I'll take Gallardo, pming the doc Was hoping he'd fall to my next pick.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 But what are we going to do? A lot of picks have been traded that would have been involved in this messup. Including waiver picks that have already been made. I feel it just makes the most sense to keep it the way it is for this year. I think it's probably a moot point. The lottery picks are the ones that really matter and I do believe NJH took care of those. As for the other picks, it would take extraordinarily bad luck for a one pick discrepancy with those to actually despair someone.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Robbie Erlin http://earthboundcentral.com/misc/f4bmn5t.jpg
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Feeling totally despaired. Did I despair you on Avisail? I was really hoping I would.
TRM Verified Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Robbie Erlin was one of my first mancrushes.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Robbie Erlin was one of my first mancrushes. Those rate numbers were just sick up to 2012. http://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.cgi?id=erlin-001rob
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Robbie Erlin was one of my first mancrushes. I thought that was Zach Lee?
TRM Verified Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Those rate numbers were just sick up to 2012. http://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.cgi?id=erlin-001rob I've acquired him twice, one via trade in the first season from Dinger for Marco Gonzales, and then the following year in the waiver draft. Fun fact, because we're so close I drafted him as "Bob Erlin", and his name remains such on the spreadsheet to this day.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Did I despair you on Avisail? I was really hoping I would. Nah I've got rid of all my Avisail stocks this year.

He's expected to get one of the final spots in the Padres rotation and pitching in San Diego doesn't hurt as well. If he could be a solid No. 4 starter with decent peripherals, I'll take that.

Well, you can use it as an excuse when you end up in the lottery this year
tafkasg Verified Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Was hoping he'd fall to my next pick. His 1st half/2nd half splits are insane, hoping he was nursing something, if he's just cooked so be it.

KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 Nah I've got rid of all my Avisail stocks this year. Well it's win-win either way because at least I didn't trade for him.
TRM Verified Member Posted February 15, 2016 Posted February 15, 2016 I could end up there this year. Hoping not... I'd bet on ya!

Have to admit he was completely off my radar. I wasn't looking to add more pitching after already adding Maeda and Fulmer in the is draft but I still would have like to at least realized he was unowned. I definitely would have given him some consideration.
Cyborg Verified Member Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 His 1st half/2nd half splits are insane, hoping he was nursing something, if he's just cooked so be it. Not really that insane. The BABIP and HR/FB is fuelling the insane ERA part. He sucked both halves of the season.
tafkasg Verified Member Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Ok, it's amusing how far the pendulum swung the other way while his periphs collapsed simultaneously. Also, frig off.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I'd bet on ya! To be in the lottery?
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 I grabbed the man once known as CJ Edwards. Realdumn otc
BTS Community Moderator Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 Kevin Kiermaier Adding someone that handsome this late is a great move IMO.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 16, 2016 Posted February 16, 2016 hey KK, sent you a PB message. Just in case it didn't email you (I've been having issues with it emailing me consistently) What you're proposing is reasonable. I'll quibble with you a bit about the secondary piece when I get a chance. Might not be until tomorrow or Wednesday. Dude. Really glad I reviewed this trade. I thought you had THE OTHER ONE.
