Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 According to steamer I should have taken BTS' offer instead. I just hate Trumbo so much though. #44 Jose Reyes Dee Gordon Robinson Cano Kyle Seager Shin-Soo Choo Joc Pederson Matt Holliday Xander Bogaerts Buster Posey Carlos Santana Matt Carpenter Mark Trumbo Carlos Gomez Hanley Ramirez Khris Davis Victor Martinez Lorenzo Cain Evan Longoria Jacoby Ellsbury Gregory Polanco Anthony Rendon #65 Alex Gordon I likely would have parted with Choo in the deal we talked about if I knew the severity of any potential suspension. Who knows when that would be, and how long it would be though? I understand that it's too hard to wait when you have other offers on the table.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 1000% percent. I've been thinking I'll rebrand when I think I'm ready to be less s***** (maybe next year). Should I change the name to 'Vote for Pedro, Alvarez'? "Vote for Pedro (Alvarez)" would be slightly better formatting Inseparable Bias would be better though. Confronting the problem honestly.

I prefer Choo to Gordon but not by a whole lot, so I'd rather take the deal in hand.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I probably won't even have a shortstop for the first couple of months unless the Phillies start the year with Crawford... which, now that I say it, sounds very plausible.

I probably have one clanking around, though I honestly don't remember.

Eh, I mean if anything I'll just take Andrus in the waiver draft, although TBH I think I'm better off just leaving that spot blank. I don't really want to stash one through the cutdown since I don't have to.

I'm actually torn on if I should keep him or not. He'll get you H, R, RBIs, SB. Albeit while destroying slg%

That's like 70 points less than you want to be as a team.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 There are worse options than Andrus out there. My point is he's replacement level. I can get as much or more utility out of an extra holds guy or backend SP.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Also, I'm convinced that Andrus, Alcides, and Jean Segura are in fact the same person.

And only reason he's good at those counting stats is because he starts pretty much every single game. That's why I'm thinking about running with Eugenio Suarez. I think he has a chance to put up similar number to Brandon Crawford.
Laika Community Moderator Posted January 14, 2016 Author Posted January 14, 2016 I have Andrus as hitter #331 on my spreadsheet (not positionally adjusted though).

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I have Andrus as hitter #331 on my spreadsheet (not positionally adjusted though). Considering only 500-600 players are owned in this league, and about half are pitchers, I'm going to go ahead and say that's below replacement level. Certainly not a Top 400 player (ie a keeper).
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I might be looking to move some moderately interesting prospects/picks for a mid-rotation SP. Guys like Carson Fulmer, Frankie Montas, Jack Flaherty, Jorge Alfaro, James Kaprelian, Chris Shaw. I could bundle.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Montanez is awful - TCA Well in my defense, he is... http://www.baseball-reference.com/register/player.cgi?id=montan002jos
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Montanez is awful - TCA I don't even know what Montas is, TBH. Now is a great time to take advantage of me if you think he can stick as a starter with 100 MPH heat. I would trade him for a crusty old warhose like John Lackey.

I'd laugh if someone offered me that for Lackey. Lackey is a beaut

GD Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 "Vote for Pedro (Alvarez)" would be slightly better formatting Inseparable Bias would be better though. Confronting the problem honestly. Inseparable Baez
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I'd laugh if someone offered me that for Lackey. Lackey is a beaut Anyway GD laughed too. He said the ask for Lackey starts with Rodon + Crawford and goes up from there.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Inseparable Baez hmmm, who owns Baez...
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Anyway GD laughed too. He said the ask for Lackey starts with Rodon + Crawford and goes up from there. Really? He offered me Lackey for Jesse Hahn last week.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Really? He offered me Lackey for Jesse Hahn last week. Jesse Hahn SUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Didn't you trade Kershaw for him or something?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Jesse Hahn SUXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX. Didn't you trade Kershaw for him or something? God, I hope not. No, I think I got him for some kind of draft pick or Matt Barnes at the cutdown one year.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Frankie Montas: Ace? Starting Pitchers 2015 K% 1) Kershaw - 33.8% 2) Sale - 32.1% 3) Scherzer - 30.7% 4) Montas - 30.3% 5) Strasburg - 29.6% FB Velo 1) Syndergaard - 97.1 MPH 2) Eovaldi - 96.7 MPH 3) Montas - 96.6 MPH 4) Ventura - 96.3 MPH 5) Harvey - 95.9 MPH SwStr% 1) Kershaw - 15.9% 2) Scherzer - 15.3% 3) Sale - 14.6% 4) Liriano 14.3% 5) Carrasco - 14.0% 6) Hamels - 13.3% 7) Montas - 12.9% (t-Kluber) Conclusion: PD god. Next pop-up ace a la DeGrom. AND he just went from a homer heaven to the best pitching division in beisbol. Read 'em and weep, dicks.
BTS Community Moderator Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 Really? He offered me Lackey for Jesse Hahn last week. You declined this?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 You declined this? I'm pretty sure TCA has smoked himself retarded and just makes s*** up these days.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted January 14, 2016 Posted January 14, 2016 I'd do Hahn for Montas?
