The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 I was looking over projections the other day and couldn't help but notice the similarity between Adam Jones and Mark Trumbo. You better wash your mouth out you dirty whore.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Trade Rodon to me Dinger. I've been missing him since I sold in LOD. Didn't I offer you Rodon + for Seager the Elder?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Now you're just trolling me. Maybe I am. And what about Upton?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Maybe I am. And what about Upton? Not as good as Bautista, probably only just as good as Braun. Rodon for an age upgrade doesn't make sense with my lack of pitching depth.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Helllllllllll no. I'm a 65 OFP rec league dodgeballer. Maybe at one point. But once you reach 30 it's all down hill from there. Your team's probably better off selling hi. And not disclosing your injuries.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 My team is s*** without me. Also, with me. A real winner would be able to make a difference on his team.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Man he was a pimp. Maybe we should send him a spring training invite. He did pitch last season..
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Didn't I offer you Rodon + for Seager the Elder? hmmm I don't recall that.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Rodon's 1st half BB rate was 5.56, 2nd half was 3.70. He had some early jitters and then really settled in and was a boss down the stretch. 2.1 WAR in 140 IP as a rookie starter is nothing to scoff at. I suspected that I'd eventually regret this trade, as I regret most things in my life, but I can say I would pull the trigger on this deal again.

I don't think that trade is at all regrettable for you at the moment. Greg Bird looks like he can absolutely be a foundational hitter for you, as long as the Yankees don't jerk him around like Refsnyder.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted December 8, 2015 Posted December 8, 2015 Yeah but Betances isn't really a reliever, he's a weapon He'd be like your 3rd best player lol. Hahaha... I know. I was just poking fun at what BTS has been regurgitating this offseason here, and on the BBDL threads.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 So I had Aaron Blair and Dansby Swanson move to Atlanta today in that debacle of a deal.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 So is Castro keeper-worthy as a Yankee with a clear path to playing time?
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 So is Castro keeper-worthy as a Yankee with a clear path to playing time? Aside from a bit more guaranteed PT, I don't see why his situation has changed much. He had plenty of time to establish himself as a lock in the Cubs' MIF and he didn't because he suxxxx
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 So is Castro keeper-worthy as a Yankee with a clear path to playing time? It's not like Wrigley is some impossible pitcher's park, nor is Castro a lefty. He's still probably just a league average bat with SS eligibility.
Laika Community Moderator Posted December 9, 2015 Author Posted December 9, 2015 So is Castro keeper-worthy as a Yankee with a clear path to playing time? Yes. On a non-playoff team.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 He doesn't have Baez pushing him for time now. Probably still not a keeper though.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 Wo, what a monster. That's an all-time season.
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 9, 2015 Posted December 9, 2015 I had the 3rd-place AL MVP on my JPA Classic team this year
BTS Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 So havok is currently sitting on 9 valid keeper starters and 5 closers. Holy pitching.
Laika Community Moderator Posted December 10, 2015 Author Posted December 10, 2015 So havok is currently sitting on 9 valid keeper starters and 5 closers. Holy pitching. Jungmann should be a cut and Shoemaker could reasonably be cut. He needs to get some power. Severely lacking.

Laika Community Moderator Posted December 11, 2015 Author Posted December 11, 2015 Promising new prospecting website: http://2080baseball.com/ Run by Joe Hamrahi (former BP president) Scouting staff includes a lot of familiar names: Tucker Blair, Mauricio Rubio, Chris Rodriguez, Jeff Moore, John Arguello, Nick Faleris (others I think). IMO this place SHOULD instantly shoot to the top of all public sector prospecting outlets. There are a lot of smart people involved there.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Finally dealt one of my OFers. Gibbers was the winner of the Upton sweepstakes. Is this the 1st time he's owned a player over the age of 25?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Superb, now have yourself some hair of the dog and let's talk! A caeser would be nice right about now.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 I'm still inebriated. Let's trade.
