GD Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I offered him an OF who's actually good, straight up. Oh, right, I heard about this. As an owner of a player in question I can see why TRM turned it down tbh
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 I offered him an OF who's actually good, straight up. All of your dudes are like mega old tho
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 You self-loathing heeb! I hope it costs him a championship.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Lol god no, BTS. After TRM posted that he'd sell him for a pitcher I offered Lester+ and didn't get a response. This led me to believe that someone dumber than me was offering a mid-prime ace.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Puig is a huge question mark right now. No way in hell I'd offer MadBum for him.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Puig is a huge question mark right now. No way in hell I'd offer MadBum for him. I wouldn't either. Puig is injury prone and might not even be that good. Bum is a horse.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 That's basically how I feel about Puig at this point, which is pretty sad considering I own him in two keeper leagues. Braun is a substantially more helpful asset if you're trying to win a championship this year.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 I'm not even a huge Puig fan but I'd still take him about a full round before Bumgarner in a fresh draft.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 Luis Rivera is a very bad third base coach.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Braun straight up for him? Because I offered Cespedes and a bit for him
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 Braun straight up for him? Because I offered Cespedes and a bit for him well that's just insulting
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Me and FTD just swapped Asians. Choo for Chen.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Me and FTD just swapped Asians. Choo for Chen. Yeah I needed some OF insurance with Pence hurt and Werth being awful. Your asking price was reasonable (though I wish you took one of my other two offers instead). Just promoted Severino to cushion the blow of losing Chen.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Im interested in picking up a holds/saves reliever. Willing to move my first round pick for a solid closer. I can also move my first round waiver pick or prospects in a deal. I would also move a back end starter like Santana/Gallardo for a quality reliever.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 27, 2015 Author Posted August 27, 2015 Chen blows. Chen for Choo is already borderline trape for featherD. That he offered less is humorous.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Your offers were pretty insulting IMHO. To be fair, I have been offered much worse in this league.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I prefer Choo over Chen, Choo has been quite good for a couple months now. Ervin Santana is droppable.

Im giving him a longer leash since hes been a great asset the last two years and has shown no loss in velocity. Not sure why his whiff rate has dropped so significantly.

Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 122 wRC+ since May 1st. He's a strict platoon guy now though. One or two platoon guys really isn't a big deal assuming it's a left handed batter. Choo has a 134 wRC+ on the season vs righties.

I've been rostering him and Ethier all year, and while the production has been good, I've pretty much needed four guys to make sure my two OF spots are full every day.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 I'm curious why you're still starting VMart over someone like Eaton. Martinez has been unbelievably terrible this year. Which reminds me, I've really given Boxy a free ride on that one, considering how much we debated VMart's value coming into this year.

Over Trumbo, and because I knew he was playing, while Trumbo has been in and out of the lineup. I'm also hoping that V-Mart doesn't actually suck now.

Yeah because Michael Saunders has played so well with the exact same injury
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Puig hurt again, probably another DL stint for the hammy. TRM you will regret rejecting that trade. Puig and A-Gon left that game...the Dodgers are going to be in tough to make the post season.
