It wasn't even that ridiculous of a request. Mark Trumbo is hitting .233/.286/.416 (75 wRC+) over the last three calendar years (1591 PA)... he's an awful player and may struggle to get a major league deal in the offseason.

Yikes. Projections had him going like 260/310/450 with 30/80/100 IIRC. He's fallen a bit short of that.

I want to, after seeing I'm down 2-9 to Hurl.

Hurl destroyed me like 11-2 or 12-1 or something. I know the feeling.

Is Jorge Mateo the next Billy Hamilton? Or maybe even better. Listen to what a scout has to say about him...

"He has a chance to be a star. He reminds me of [Edgar] Renteria at the similar age. He can run. If you watch batting practice you will see he has more than speed. The ball jumps off his bat for a young kid. You can say he is [an Alfonso] Soriano comp or a baby Hanley Ramirez. He has a chance to be special."

None of those comps are anything like Billy Hamilton.

Matt Kemp finally got to 100 wRC+ :)

I took the wRC+ part out of my post because it seems that Fangraphs calendar year split wRC+ is messed up.

Mark Trumbo was always a flawed player and it's catching up to him. If you believe there's still a productive hitter in there, you may as well keep Trumbo since there's no buy-low hype surrounding him.

Is there anything suggesting that hitters of his type fall off early? I think his body is just breaking down. He's a huge guy, and has dealt with stress fractures in his feet, and his power has fallen off a cliff since he was diagnosed last year.

Scouts are pretty dumb with comps and always overshoot when it comes to guys they like.

Albert Pujols is on pace for a career-high 51 HR. Wat.

Hamilton was my comp of him. 80 speed. Same age at the same level. Stealing bases at the exact same per/G rate and same success rate.

I'll take Billy Hamilton if nobody wants him. Dude has value. In 5x5 he has a lot of value.

Anybody want Desmond Jennings? I have no room for him when he comes off the DL, so I'm willing to move him for dimes on the dollar.

Man, when I drafted him in the initial draft I thought I'd get many seasons prime Carl Crawford production.

I still think there's plausible upside there, with potential for 15/25 in a fully healthy season. Unfortunately with his knee injury, I had to move on, and now I don't have a roster spot to utilize him. I would take a late 2nd or early 3rd for him, or a prospect or pitcher of similar value. I think that's a fair ask, given what the market has been for 2016 picks so far:

Mid-late 1st = Ubaldo Jimenez

Late 1st = Nate Karns

Late 2nd = Kelvin Herrera
