jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Not sure which is more amusing: The crying that happens in the GDT every game or Omar Infante being an ASG starter
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Not sure which is more amusing: The crying that happens in the GDT every game or Omar Infante being an ASG starter I watched the Astros game today. The butthurt over Infante is real.
Laika Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2015 Author Posted June 16, 2015 What makes the Infante thing funny is that he actually has an All Star incentive in his contract. It will kick in and cost the Royals a million bucks, or something like that.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Ok now I'm really rooting for this to happen. Royals + Trout please.
TRM Verified Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Guys if we work hard enough we can Alex Rios in too!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Geez, Vogt and Richards have been pretty terrible since BTS acquired them. Brad Miller sucks too, but that was much more expected.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Vogt's a beast brah! Not really. Even with last night's home run, he's only at .330/.364 over the last month. He was playing way over his head in terms of power production, we're going to see that ISO continue to regress. In the end he's probably more of a .330 or .340 wOBA guy, not the .400 wOBA guy he pretended to be for the first 2 months of the season.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 The walk rate is cray tho; how do you go from 5.6% one year to 15% the next?

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 No regrets until Bogaerts doesn't suck. It's all good Vogt-Bro...errr Tanaka Bro!!
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 No regrets until Bogaerts doesn't suck. What's going on with Bogaerts? He's been a little better overall this year, but as a prospect he was supposed to have prodigious power and he just hasn't showed any as a major leaguer. Career 6.8% HR/FB, .109 xISO this year.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 No regrets until Bogaerts doesn't suck. Who's munt is that in your pic?

Not sure. Everyone expected consistent 25+ HR pop to go with a great average and OBP skills, but the power just hasn't been there at all. He's been all BABIP through 900 PA - when it's high the numbers are good, when it's low he's unplayable. Probably the biggest prospect letdown I've had in fantasy baseball.
BTS Community Moderator Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Who's munt is that in your pic? Chris Christie
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Chris Christie Why is he wearing a baseball uniform? Jesus. http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/seinfeld/images/d/d2/Top_of_the_Muffin_to_You!.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130216000503
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I would submit that a .320 wOBA isn't actually bad at all for a 22 year old shortstop. He wasn't an instant star but there's still plenty of time.

Jesus. http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/seinfeld/images/d/d2/Top_of_the_Muffin_to_You!.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20130216000503 Charity game. He really is vile in every way it's possible to be vile.

His xISO is .081 points lower than his ISO as of North's article. womp womp

He wasn't an instant star but there's still plenty of time. It's OK, and he's a fine starter both in real life and a 20-team league, but that production is pretty easily replaceable. From a consensus top-3 prospect, I expected a top-50 dynasty asset, with a real chance to be a top-10 kind of player. In that sense, he has been a huge disappointment. That isn't to say he can't get there.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 Jaysblue's 12 hour window is up I think?
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
