BTS Community Moderator Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 I find this deeply satisfying Did you see North's "Chris Hatcher alert" post in the Around Baseball thread? This greatly enhanced what was already a deeply satisfying experience for me.

No. I will not stand for you trying to "No49 bonus" Hatcher into an elite can't miss reliever. I'm drawing the line here.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Edward Mujica is available for any draft pick, message me if interested. First offer gets him.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Mujica sold to z3r0s for pick 91. Pick processed.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Mujica sold to z3r0s for pick 91. Pick processed. Goddammit I don't want to play you next week
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Henderson Alvarez going for an MRI on his elbow.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Goddammit I don't want to play you next week I slashed .271/.324 this week, so maybe now's a good time.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 I slashed .271/.324 this week, so maybe now's a good time. The way I see it, that's probably not going to happen again. Best I can say is that you don't have 2-start weeks from Sale or Bum.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Author Posted April 13, 2015 Henderson Alvarez going for an MRI on his elbow. And his shoulder! WTF Hendo. Entire arm must be rotten.
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Spanky tends to get the better of a lot of trades.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Author Posted April 13, 2015 Yikes, his velo is way down this year. Most of his FBs were 89/90 today and he only touched 92. Normally sits 92/93. Henderson does the 'show the ball to CF' thing that Matt Harvey does. He also might short arm it a bit (short deceleration path for the arm) but not sure about that. I wonder if mechanics, and resulting injury risk factor, were part of the decision to trade him. FWIW Syndergaard's timing seems a bit off too and he's had a couple of forearm strains with New York. Of course it's not like Sanchez has better mechanics.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Since I'll probably lose Hendo for significant time, I'm open to moving a closer for a mid-rotation starter. Street, Cishek, Rondon, Koji, and Familia are all available at slightly varying costs.

Also hoping Gee shits the bed a few more time so the Mets take him out of the rotation.

I have no idea why you're looking for starters with Felix, Stras, Teheran, Kuma, Liriano, Hahn, and Syndergaard. If anything, you should deal from that depth to address your dreadful, dreadful bullpen.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 13, 2015 Author Posted April 13, 2015 I don't think I've ever been looking for starters. Maybe that one time when I traded for Scherzer.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Innings aren't a category, saves are. More innings = more Ks = more wins?
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 More innings = more Ks = more wins? Or more innings = diluting the elite rate stats of Felix, Stras and Kuma No wonder you managed your way out of the playoffs!
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Or more innings = diluting the elite rate stats of Felix, Stras and Kuma No wonder you managed your way out of the playoffs! But what if those other pitchers also put up elite stats?
