I certainly agree with that much, although I'm not a fan of disregarding his market value, seems like a slight waste of assets when you probably could have gotten less. I completely understand why you traded for him though

I supposed I could have opened with a lower pick and haggled a bit but I didn't really feel like it. I also could have traded for a more established pitcher with a higher market value but the guys that were offered didn't really move the needle for me. I also could have traded for a younger not established guys but that didn't really make sense since I'm already planning to drop guys like Nolin and Nicolino unless their job prospects suddenly improve.
