So in GD's off board league, I just dealt McCutchen for Scherzer, Craig and Marte. What do you guys think?

 

Its close but McCutchen wins because you can probably find something close to Craig in the free agency, and Marte is waiver wire material in a 10 team league.

 

Scherzer is a beast though so he alone makes it close.

Yep. I picked up Todd Frazier a couple weeks ago and I definitely wouldn't trade him for Craig and may not trade him for Marte. I hadn't realized how mediocre Marte has been, I think I'll adjust my opinion to definitively favour GD's side.

I think Craig is extremely underrated right now (although that's likely in part due to his terrible year so far this year). It seems like a fair deal, probably shifting to your side if Craig returns to the .300 average, .850+ ops bat he should be and to GD's side if he doesn't.

Never have been a big fan of Craig. He doesn't hit many home runs, and doesn't run. He does't have the strongest on-base skills. His peripherals are batting average driven and he's been considered a fantasy asset due to his high RBI totals.

I think he hits the snooze button earlier. All of that Bud really knocks him out. Give him an IPA and he's knocked out on the spot...

Welcome to the Dark side. You honestly though had no shot at the playoffs this year, building teams shouldnt feel compelled to roster fringe mlbers that won't help them this year or next just because

I'd prefer the McCutchen end as Craig in a 10 team league is very replaceable. His line drive % is at league average this year instead of being inflated.
