The rule does say that only players that belong to an MLB parent club can be drafted. boldt clearly doesn't, but drafted and unsigned players before the deadline passes would fall under the "owned" umbrella, I think, because the team owns exclusive negotiation rights at least.

Mejia is the guy I originally planned to draft at 37 before I decided to be really aggressive with Asuaje instead. I'm still happy with that decision even though Asuaje was a reach but I don't feel good about Gillaspie being drafted after my pick. I stopped looking at the new draftees after my 1st two picks but Gillaspie was a guy I looked at a lot when I was doing the board mock. He's one of the better college bats from the drafts and nabbing him more than 30 picks after Conforto and Schwarber looks like a steal.

The league is great! Everyone is ready to go I can count on one hand how many times someone has had their time expire in 2 years. Its not very often you can get a 20 team league with 20 committed owners.

Yeah, that draft started at the same time and we JUST made it through the 1st round. I think if we shortened the window to 12 hours it would speed things up, but apparently you can't do that without 8 old guys s***ing their pants and quitting the league.
