Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 What was the Darvish trade again? It was a five team deal where he basically gave up Rizzo + Soler for Darvish. EDIT: He actually got Kyle Gibson, Sean Nolin, and MiLB 93 back with Darvish, and gave up Burch Smith as well.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I don't even understand how you were able to turn it around that fast. I guess you could say... I was quick like a cat.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Your rebuild wasn't that impressive. I was 19th in FC last year and I've been in 1st place all season.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 AND I didn't get Abreu or Tanaka.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Jesus Christ Didn't North give up Darvish + stuff for Fielder and Rizzo in that deal? It was robbery. North basically came to him and said, "Hi, want me to bend over for you?"
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I also gave up Burch Smith. North gave up Yu Darvish, Kyle Gibson, Sean Nolin, MiLB #93, Maikel Franco, David Holmberg, MiLB #113. But he got Prince Fielder, Anthony Rizzo, Danny Duffy, Burch Smith.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 To BALCO PHARM TEAM: Prince Fielder (JK), Anthony Rizzo (TWP), Danny Duffy (JK), Burch Smith (TWP) To JURASSIC KATS: Maikel Franco (BPT), David Holmberg (BPT), MiLB #6 (TO), MiLB #113 (BPT) To THE WAR PUIGS: Yu Darvish (BPT), Kyle Gibson (BPT), Sean Nolin (BPT), MiLB #93 (BPT) To GRYFFINDOR: Jorge Soler (TWP) To TAIJUAN ON!: Jonathan Gray (GRY)
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 It would appear as though North bought Fielder at kind of a bad time.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 AND I didn't get Abreu or Tanaka. Who did you get then? And did you already have a stacked farm?
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Dinger, please beat Sammy down this week. I am, to date, the only team that has been able to stop his juggernaut. Starting to feel the heat from behind aren't ya. I would be scared too.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Who did you get then? And did you already have a stacked farm? Had an unreal farm. Traded it for Cargo, Beltre, Ortiz, Choo, Holliday, McCann, Verlander, Iwakuma, Samardzija, Shields, Ervin, Kuroda, Nathan, Cishek. Only core guys I kept were Goldy, Carpenter and Fernandez.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Starting to feel the heat from behind aren't ya. I would be scared too. I keep expecting you to go away. And you keep winning.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 That is a crazy amount of good players to acquire through trading prospects. How big are the prospect rosters in that league?
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Also, I just want to point out that the division with the best winning % in the league is none other than the Monte Cristo.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 That is a crazy amount of good players to acquire through trading prospects. How big are the prospect rosters in that league? Smaller than DDL, 10 man farms. I had some MLB youth that got traded as well (Myers, Yelich, Gausman, Cingrani etc).

How's that even possible? I imagine every one of the players you mentioned is better than the next highest prospect. Ex. Cargo > Prospect 1 Choo > Prospect 2 Beltre > Prospect 3 etc..
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I keep expecting you to go away. And you keep winning. Me too. I was hoping to keep for the 8th spot but i keep playing my cards right. Other than that s*** i laid in our series. Never know. Maybe i can Baltimore Oriole it all year and play above the projections.

Cargo > Prospect 1 Choo > Prospect 2 Beltre > Prospect 3 etc.. NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Yeah the Darvish trade didn't work out as hoped. At the time I had Fielder slightly ahead of Darvish, so it made sense. And I love(d) Rizzo.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 I traded Myers, Gausman, Yelich, Bradley, Syndergaard, Aaron Sanchez, Jon Gray, Yordano, Eaton, Alfaro, Lindor, Dahl, all my picks, Cingrani, Grandal, etc. You weren't kidding about the farm. God that's ridiculous.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 And I love(d) Rizzo. Souring on Rizzo?
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Souring on Rizzo? lol no, was just expressing that my love for him existed then and it still does now. -- For all everyone has talked about Dinger's ability to steal everyone's players, CatsAss has easily been the best trader in the league so far IMO.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 lol no, was just expressing that my love for him existed then and it still does now. -- For all everyone has talked about Dinger's ability to steal everyone's players, CatsAss has easily been the best trader in the league so far IMO. They are easily the top two, but I still think Dinger's been better. The Buxton and Ellsbury trades were too good.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 You weren't kidding about the farm. God that's ridiculous. It was way better than any farm has been in DDL lol.
BTS Community Moderator Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 *Note* I will be crushed. You're going down this week, bike!
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 For all everyone has talked about Dinger's ability to steal everyone's players, CatsAss has easily been the best trader in the league so far IMO. Na, I'm terrible at making trades. I end up on the losing end in them 90% of the time.
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Kick his ass Spank send him down the Monte Cristo division.
z3r0s Old-Timey Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 Crush him Spanky, he's so concerned with Sammy he'll never see it coming! http://i.imgur.com/2fNRMbT.gif What the f*** is that from! lol
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted May 26, 2014 Posted May 26, 2014 haha no idea, random anime has a horrifying gif for any occasion! lmao I've always wondered, where do you get all your GIFs from?
