Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Can I join that auction league btw? preeeeze Let me talk to North I'll get back to you tonight.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Let me talk to North I'll get back to you tonight. We'd have to ask the league if they're comfortable moving to 14 teams (from a time commitment standpoint). Or someone could let him in as a co-owner.

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 "You hang up" "No, you hang up!" Haha. -- Boxy, are you okay with the auction league's draft time? It's this Saturday at 5:00 pm EST.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Gibroni picked! Silvergun is up. Finish line is in sight.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Gibroni picked! Silvergun is up. Finish line is in sight. When can we start picking up FAs? As soon as the last pick is made?
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 When can we start picking up FAs? As soon as the last pick is made? We have not decided unless I'm forgetting... What we'll do is say nobody can make an add for 24 hours after the last Rule 5 selection (rounded to the closest whole hour). We won't bother actually putting the remaining players on waivers, unless people think we should. So if the last pick is made tomorrow at 3:12 pm, people can start adding dickbags on Friday at 3 pm. I'll send out an email to announce the free agency opening time, once it becomes known. The penalty for adding a player early = lose the player, and your current waiver priority slot gets knocked down by 10.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 "You hang up" "No, you hang up!" I would like to think I'm the one without the exclamation mark.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Why 24 hours? Why not just put all the players on waivers and have at it? I dunno. I guess we could. Not even sure how to put all FA's on waivers without f***ing something up. Maybe Dinger knows.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 It probably doesn't even really matter. All the players were able to be drafted. It's only the slum of the slum left.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I vote for waivers so the people who are busy at the hour adding is enabled aren't at a disadvantage.
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 It probably doesn't even really matter. All the players were able to be drafted. It's only the slum of the slum left. Speak for yourself. Boxy plans on picking up half his team when waivers open.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Speak for yourself. Boxy plans on picking up half his team when waivers open. That's true. But still, he won't have any competition for those players anyway.

I guess it matters if people have NA's and DL's and there are still some speculative holds guys available. I suppose I'll just throw everyone on waivers for a day or two after the last pick.
torontofan Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I think we should go no waivers for the remaining slum. I think it makes it more fair for teams who placed near the bottom of the standings (waiver priority).
TRM Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Are we really giving a group that will likely include JP Arencibia, Eric Chavez and Ryan Vogelson as the best options this much thought?!
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 How many people are even going to make a move? Spanky needs to drop Hochevar, but that's probably it for moves when free agency opens. I'll have a free spot to pick someone up.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 How many people are even going to make a move? Spanky needs to drop Hochevar, but that's probably it for moves when free agency opens. I'll have an open spot due to a N/A but I'm basically looking at 5th starter candidates. No one should be causing a mad rush or anything.
Laika Community Moderator Posted March 6, 2014 Author Posted March 6, 2014 Decided not to put everyone on waivers because that gives the teams with low waiver priorities an advantage - less to lose when they put a claim on some bum that they like. We'll just do the 24 hour thing, that way it's kind of fair for all teams. Unless you won't be near a computer at the grand outhouse opening, then you're f***ed!
torontofan Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 I am not picking anyone up so it really doesn't matte to me. I was just playing devil's advocate.

TRM Verified Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 Ugh, way to go name dropping. Ha, I am 90% sure you're kidding, but if you aren't I'll delete for sure. Didn't think I was name dropping anyone that isn't totally apparent.

jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted March 6, 2014 Posted March 6, 2014 To be honest, im disappointed in all of you who frequently visited the BBDL page and didnt name drop, a lot of them seemed convinced some top 50 prospects were sleepers and would get stolen from them
