The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I didn't even know half these people existed.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Siegrist is like 8 feet tall and throws 97 from the left. I think he's going to rack up the holds. it was Paco vs. Siegrist for me. Lefties rack up holds...I chose Paco just because lefties can't even touch him (.188 wOBA in 112 batters faced). Turns out that he might end up starting the season in the minors now though, so I think I chose wrong
Sammy225 Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 If we could work it some how that I pick Friday around 4 that would be awesome lol. Drunk Spiel this weekend in a spotty reception area
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I realllllly like Siegrist. He could be an upper tier closer if Rosenthal misses time.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I almost took Siegrest over Cotts, plus couple others in the fold. Cotts is quite old. He made a nice comeback last season, wow. I remember him back in like 2005 with the White Sox lol.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Siegrist is like 8 feet tall and throws 97 from the left. I think he's going to rack up the holds. He is a true Cardinal which made the selection easy.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Speaking of lefty relievers, I'm shocked no MLB team has signed Oliver Perez yet. He was fantastic last season in relief.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Doesn't he not have a team yet? He doesn't which is absurd. The Rockies signed Boone Logan for 3 years/16.5 million which was ridiculous, and Oliver Perez was far better last season and still doesn't have a team. 3.26 FIP and 12.57 K/9 last season.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I know the Jays have a ton of BP arms, though geez he'd be a bargain at 500K, or on a minor league deal.

Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Dammit jaysfever! Jeets would have been a nice fit on my team (though I doubt he would have made it to 40 anyway). Havok is on the clock.
SpeedyGose Verified Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Will Smith Brew Crew/I, Robot BTS on the clock
Fearthedoc Verified Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I'll be able to check at 7 PM, and 11:30 PM. Sorry if there's any delay on my part.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Torontofan on the clock.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I picked Brian Wilson's beard. KingKat is up. That was my next pick.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I was considering Wilson at 34 before I settled in Avilan.
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I picked Brian Wilson's beard. KingKat is up. So do you only get his beard? Can someone else draft the player? Or do they come as a package...
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Surprised Reddick lasted so long, I'd have taken a flier on him before a lot of these RP. One year removed from 32 HR, and improved his periphs considerably in a tough year battling injuries. Great pick, imo. If only robbing HRs were a stat... http://m.mlb.com/video/v31389439/oaksf-reddick-robs-morse-twice-with-amazing-grabs
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Shawn Kelley We're really rolling now... NJH is up!
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 Poor Salty Apparently nobody needs an Arencibia clone with awful hair.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I thought about popping him, but then I Googled Oso Blanco's meaty forearms and decided to gamble on a sketchy holds guy instead. He's just so yucky.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 I picked, realmin is up.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted February 27, 2014 Posted February 27, 2014 I think you just scooped up the last closer, nice pick. One of the other guys in Houston will likely start the season as closer, but I do like Crain's chances to get double-digit saves by year's end. Nice pick NJH.
Laika Community Moderator Posted February 27, 2014 Author Posted February 27, 2014 Crain is an injury risk after his biceps surgery, which is why he was still on the board, but I'll take late April closer upside at this point.
