The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2013 Posted September 24, 2013 Enny is kinda like those guys except not a bust yet. I dropped Tommy Hanson from a rebuilding team with 23-man keeper rosters, and no one has picked him up yet. I think that ship has sailed. There's a couple busts in that list like Hanson. But most are still prospects like Enny, except mine have good peripherals..
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Lol ahhh.. Yeah, Jays fans are the biggest homers... I kinda miss wiping the floor baseball knowledge wise with those guys. Their thoughts on the Sox were as insane to me then as they are now. That guy knew Manny Mac would be a star as of last year..hes brilliant dude..show some respect .
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 25, 2013 Author Posted September 25, 2013 I think I traded Hunter for Cashner last offseason in the gibbers dynasty league. That would've looked pretty good right now.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 Alfonso Soriano can be moved for a team looking to add some significant power to their lineup. Soriano has been a beast since joining the Yankees and should still be a good bet to hit 30 HR's again next season.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 25, 2013 Posted September 25, 2013 On my wish list this offseason, would be looking for a top No. 1 or 2 starter.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Hey guys, just a heads up that I will be locking Yahoo rosters Sunday morning (or afternoon depending on how hungover I am), at which point I will start transfering rosters over to the Proboard. Please conduct your trade negotiations through the PB during the offseason rather than here. Feel free to update your trade blocks on the PB now, as trading season will open on Monday. At that time, I will also finalize the MiLB and Waiver draft orders on the PB.

Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Not until mid February, you'll have several months to wheel and deal before cuts.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Yep I'm prob gonna trade half my team by then just due to boredom.
KingKat Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Not until mid February, you'll have several months to wheel and deal before cuts. O.K. Cool. I was thinking maybe that was why BTS was so eager to move Hunter now.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 I'll be putting almost everyone on my block: Shields, Ryu, Beachy, Asdrubal, Rasmus, Balfour, Street, Sonny Gray, Bourn, Scheppers, Scutaro, Glasnow, Miguel Almonte, and maybe some others I can't remember right now. Buxton might also still be in play if I can get an All-Star talent under 30.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2013 Posted September 28, 2013 Can't really see Torii being the centrepiece for one of them, although I do like Archer.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 29, 2013 Author Posted September 29, 2013 Teams are now locked and we will be moving to ProBoards for offseason communication after the finals is decided this evening. It would be reallllly cool if everyone could check in on proboards. I would suggest updating your trade block, but simply posting anywhere so that we know you're still interested and invested in the league would be nice. Reminder that there are no roster restrictions during the offseason. You can trade for and hold onto as many players/prospects as you want, you just have to be prepared to cut down to 20/12 on the Feb cutdown day.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I've transferred the rosters over to the Proboard. Please check your rosters to make sure I didn't miss anybody. I'll be adding the draft picks to the roster pages tomorrow so we can view all assets on one page.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Just updated my trade block! So fired up for the offseason. I also made a Fangraphs leaderboard for my team, to make it easy for others to analyze my players: http://tinyurl.com/l7wd9oe

NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 What can I expect to pay for -0.4 WAR scrub Matt Kemp? 103 wRC+ though! I'd need to acquire a stud young infielder in moving Kemp.
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Wow what a clutch day for Twist and Trout. All the offensive numbers he needed and a key hold from Luis Avilan. Hats off to FTD! Very deserved. And to realmin, whose great season should be remembered in spite of losing this. These playoffs were tight from start to finish.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 I didn't look at pitchers to see if any of the finishing up games are a factor but if not I do believe that the upcoming Pence AB decides the championship
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 wow just realized that Posey could end this before the Pence AB
NorthOf49 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 wow just realized that Posey could end this before the Pence AB I think FTD will win regardless of what Pence does. Realmin already has OBP down, which is the only close offensive category.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 yeah I just noticed that Min was up in OBP by percentage points. I thought it was the other way around. Congrats to Fear The Doc on his victory

Congrats to Fear The Doc on his victory It might not be over after all: do the Rangers/Rays Game 163 stats count? I can't find the answer anywhere.
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 29, 2013 Posted September 29, 2013 Answer is in the Matchup date. It's over September 29th.

The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Just updated my trade block. There are a lot of players on there that I would trade for any kind of draft pick. There are some nice young pitchers that could break out next year.
jays_fever Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 Can someone link the proboards page
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 I'm pretty surprised that I've gotten zero bites on Hunter. Dude is a pretty significant contributor. He's also old. Hes a candidate for a huge drop off next year. Paul Konerko style.
Dr. Dinger Old-Timey Member Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 20 is a small keeper limit, so it's hard to fit an old vet in there. And the teams that have room in their 20 are generally shopping for young players.
