Yep. Last year the entire country of Latvia banded together to vote a young player named Zemgus Girgensons into the game. Although he has upside, and is not a dud like John Scott.

 

Kind of like KC Royals fans stuffing the ballot for the MLB allstar game, or when Eric Sogard nearly got voted as #FaceofMLB

I know, but I found it hilarious. Sogard beat players far more popular than Wright, and when everyone's attention was focused on the finals I bet a ton of people were intrigued by the notion of a s***** bench player winning the whole thing. Wright winning was obviously fixed.

 

I'm glad people made that into a huge joke, just like the AL all star vote. Fan voting suxxxx.
