Yessir, since I was, like, 6, but I don't know exactly why it started. They were really, really good in the early 90s, but I'm not sure a 6-year old would really be able to appreciate a successful team, so it might've come down to their colours or logo or something.

 

Anyway, it's remained the same since, though my love for hockey just hasn't been there for the last decade or more. Pretty casual fan at best now.

 

And yeah, it's been a pretty fruitful and prosperous tenure for me as a fan, no doubt.

 

How did you end up a Bruins fan?

I remember being so mad at that draft. IIRC they picked two players who were ranked in the 20s or 30s and Senyshyn was ranked as a 2nd rounder. Just three panicked reaches in a row.

 

As a Leafs fan I was mad in that draft too. Konecny was available at 24 and I was pumped, they then traded that pick down to a 2nd rounder and took Travis Dermott. Carolina took Sebastian Aho immediately after.
