Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 Lame guys, Leaf fans are engrained with salt and sorrow.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 26, 2022 Posted October 26, 2022 They gonna suck all year. Maybe. But their body of work would indicate that this isn't the case... At least not for the duration of the regular season. Come playoffs, the criticism is justified.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted October 28, 2022 Posted October 28, 2022 This team needs a major shakeup, but what is it?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 29, 2022 Posted October 29, 2022 This team needs a major shakeup, but what is it? Not sure. It's complicated. Keefe has the best winning % of any Leafs coach in it's 100+ year history. Is he the problem? Do you make deals? But if you look at making deals you need the answer to the question 'is Dubas' time coming to an end?' If so, are you comfortable with him being the one to make the deals? He might be forced to just sit there and watch...the next guy will come in and decide what changes need to be made. It's not a good situation. This feels like 2019-2020 when they bumbled around all season and lost to Columbus. Yes...people will say it's early...but it isn't...not for this core. This is the same team, with the same problems for how many seasons now? I'm as big a fan as anyone, but enough is enough. Feels like this could be a sinking ship. They'll have to figure it out on their own cause I'm not sure any help is coming.

Such a waste when you have superstars like Matthews, Marner, Taveras, and other elite talent around them. This team can't even get by the first round which is extremely disappointing. I don't think this team is capable of going on a deep Playoff run this season. On paper, I don't think the Leafs had this great of a core since the days in the early 90s. Even in the early 2000s, with Sundin, Mogilny, Roberts as a core, despite them being on the older side, they at least went deep into the Playoffs to the 2nd or 3rd round.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 lol Not sure what you're laughing about. You're a fan of this s*** show too.

They've never had a core with this much talent. Early 90s was not much on paper, but they were greater than the sum of their parts. Early 2000s was Sundin, some veterans past their prime, and a few ordinary guys... But they had balls and played like it. This team has elite offensive talent but won't do what it takes and play like sissies.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 The Leafs keep losing to some of the worst teams in the league.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Yet again another f***in stinker from the Leafs. Come on Dubas grow a set and pull off a mammoth of a trade.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 f***ING AWFUL!!!!! The road trip from hell... these teams stink to boot, lmao!
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 If they don't snap out of this soon, I'm not sure they wait too long to can Keefe. There's no 'next year' for this group. Changes may come quick.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 The Leafs keep losing to some of the worst teams in the league. Habs, Yotes, Sharks and Kings... Woof.

Yeah I remember those early 2000 teams with Sundin, Mogilny, Roberts, Tucker, Domi, Corson, Renberg CuJo/Balfour, etc. They were veterans past their primes, but they played tough and almost came close to reaching the Cup in 2002. Gary Roberts was always awesome in the Playoffs!
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 Habs, Yotes, Sharks and Kings... Woof. The Ducks are pretty bad, better not lose to them
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 The Ducks are pretty bad, better not lose to them That would be no bueno... Beers and the game at my bud's tonight, lol.
Pendleton Old-Timey Member Posted October 30, 2022 Posted October 30, 2022 That would be no bueno... Beers and the game at my bud's tonight, lol. Ducks are firmly in the Bedard sweepstakes, a Leafs win is best for all
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Ducks are firmly in the Bedard sweepstakes, a Leafs win is best for all I shall agree, bongs and beer at home it seems, buddy's wifey is ill... GO LEAFS GO for both of us!
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 That's the kind of loss that gets someone fired.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 That's the kind of loss that gets someone fired. My friend, agreed, fired to the moon.
BTS Community Moderator Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 My friend, agreed, fired to the moon. Going to be interesting. Will Dubas really be allowed to fire another coach?
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 That's the kind of loss that gets someone fired. Exactly!!! Is this the game that makes a change of some sort.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 I mean let’s f***ing face it, 34,16,88,91 & 44 are all this team has in “somewhat” talent and takes up a s*** ton of our cap. Ugh so frustrating i tell ya! No frigging depth outside those players.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Going to be interesting. Will Dubas really be allowed to fire another coach? Yes. Otherwise what was the point in bringing him back for this season. If they're still serious about making a run then you have to let your GM work autonomously. If they're gonna handicap him then he should've been let go after last season
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Going to be interesting. Will Dubas really be allowed to fire another coach? Nah, I doubt it. Leafs started just as bad last year, and went on to shatter single season records. We'll see I guess.
Horses Fart Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Nah, I doubt it. Leafs started just as bad last year, and went on to shatter single season records. We'll see I guess. ^^^ See that’s the problem, the whole team is playing with this motto, which let’s face it is not good enuf ^^^
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted October 31, 2022 Posted October 31, 2022 Nah, I doubt it. Leafs started just as bad last year, and went on to shatter single season records. We'll see I guess. Except the underlying analytics said the Leafs were playing well last year to start the season and were just unlucky. This year they're objectively bad by ever metric. There will be changes coming soon. What those are????
