Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted February 11, 2022 Posted February 11, 2022 Last 15 games Campbell's Sv % is .893. This is not a bad week. Something's not right with him...mental? Physical? Has the clock struck midnight and he's just not as good as we hoped he was? Bottom line...it's a concern.
jays4life19 Old-Timey Member Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 Dammit I apparently picked the Leafs in survivor. Go Leafs Go

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 13, 2022 Posted February 13, 2022 Skinner with 4 goals... hahaha, the Habs suxxxxxxxxxxxx
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Tyler Toffoli has been traded to the Calgary Flames in exchange for Tyler Pitlick, Emil Heineman, a 2022 1st round draft pick, and a 2024 5th round draft pick. That's quite the f***ing haul for Toffoli, Habs did well or am I wrong?
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Well, he's gonna get at least 5. In person hearing. He got 8 games, good, damn rat bastard. again? WTF man? He had a hip replacement and groin issues, at least he tried. Sucks for the Bruins, but they have a solid tandem with Ullmark and Swayman. Buffalo are f***ing stupid for letting Ullmark walk, very stupid.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 F U Giordano, that was dirty.

I don't know who the other guys are (don't really follow hockey) - but yeah - I like it for Montreal. I did see people suggest Calgary did great, but I don't see it.

That's quite the f***ing haul for Toffoli, Habs did well or am I wrong? I think it's pretty fair for both sides. Toffoli is a legitimate top 6 winger on a very reasonable contract who could play top line for Calgary if they didn't already have a great trio playing together. The first going back to Montreal is likely to be low to mid 20's so not a super high pick. From what I gather Heineman likely doesn't have a very high ceiling, and Pitlick was basically just thrown in to lower the cap hit a bit for the Flames.

The trade was perfect for both sides Flames get some needed depth, I just believe too much went back to the Habs, I mean a 1st is still an amazing return, but Emil Heineman is a pretty good prospect. Meh, I see it differently. Nicely done by the Habs.

Meh, I see it differently. Nicely done by the Habs. I think Toffoli is a perfect addition for the Flames, as prior to the trade they had effective first, second and fourth lines, however the third line was a real weak link. This trade should give them a chance to roll four effective lines. An important factor here is that Toffoli is under contract for 2.5 years at a very reasonable cap hit, and he's shown no obvious signs of decline at this point. This is far from giving up a ton of assets on a rental. I just don't view Heineman as being a great prospect, I've seen it suggested he may only have fallen into the 7-8 range in the Flames minor league system, which while it's been improving lately is still a bit of a weak system.

Fair enough, both teams are happy, that's all that matters. Calgary will be a force in the Western Conference playoffs. P.S. Craig Button called this trade a week ago, Toffoli to Calgary. Hah!
