Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 The ankle burner talking s*** again I see, please. When's the last time the Leaves made it past the first round of the playoffs? 20 years?
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 11, 2020 Posted August 11, 2020 When's the last time the Leaves made it past the first round of the playoffs? 20 years? 16. Not quite as long as it took the Jays to get back to the post season.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Columbus/Tampa. Game 1 goes to TBay 3-2, in quintuple OT.

Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 16. Not quite as long as it took the Jays to get back to the post season. Difference being over half the league makes the playoffs in hockey, of course.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Difference being over half the league makes the playoffs in hockey, of course. Sure. But my point is, there is lots of disappointment across the board in every sport.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Patrice Bergeron scores in 2OT.
P2F Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Patrice Bergeron scores in 2OT. f*** Boston.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 f*** Boston. I concur, good sir.
Laika Community Moderator Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Patrice Bergeron scores in 2OT. weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 12, 2020 Posted August 12, 2020 Yotes out shot 29-7 with a minute to go in the 2nd. 0-0 score, lol.
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted August 13, 2020 Posted August 13, 2020 Go Calgary, I guess. Not looking very promising for a Canadian team in the finals, again.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 14, 2020 Posted August 14, 2020 Korpisalo stood on his head, again.
BTS Community Moderator Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 Tuuka Rask is opting out. I can't imagine being 33 and opting to sit out the playoffs over covid when you're a key part of a championship caliber team.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 He has a newborn, doesn't like living in the bubble and thinks there's no playoff atmosphere, so I've read of his comments after their loss the other night. He was setting that up for today. The B's really don't get hurt by it, unless Halak gets injured.

I don't have a kid, but I can't see myself choosing to spend a few extra weeks with my 4-month old over chasing a title that would likely cement my HoF status in the sport I played.

Ditto, seems pretty selfish to be honest. His choice, I can respect that. Unless I were a team-mate or fan...
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 15, 2020 Posted August 15, 2020 Svechnikov's knee and ankle just exploded, gross.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 lol... Well, no real point in putting up "Go Leaves Go" since they failed to even qualify for playoffs where half the league makes it.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Yeah, that's why I posted the troll, idiot.
Boxcar Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Yeah, that's why I posted the troll, idiot. Oh you knew that the Leaves didn't qualify the playoffs where teams without like 5 superstars and former first overall picks did qualify for the playoffs? My bad. I wasn't sure if everyone was aware that the Leaves were such failures.

Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted August 16, 2020 Posted August 16, 2020 Isles one win away from a sweep... Flames were 11 seconds from going up 3-1 in that series, now tied at 2.
Krylian Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 Isles one win away from a sweep... Flames were 11 seconds from going up 3-1 in that series, now tied at 2. So they summoned their inner Blue Jay.

Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted August 17, 2020 Posted August 17, 2020 "Leafs fans are insufferable" "Also, I'm going to act like an annoying spammy douche talking about how much the team sucks, purely because the team's fans are insufferable. I am then going to cheer for Toronto's MLB and NBA teams, which almost certainly has tens or hundreds of thousands of overlapping fans with the city's NHL team, because my s***** Canadian city has no hope of ever hosting an MLB/NBA team so I have to piggyback off of Toronto's."
