As an on-air performer you get fired if your content sucks or if you’re too vulgar for your platform. It’s laughable and offensive that he would somehow twist this to be about his sexuality when he’s a straight white male.

I'm not very invested in this, but I believe the core of his lawsuit is that another member of NBC? Who is a gay man made similar comments as Roenick with no disciplinary action taken. A lot of people go on Barstool podcasts and kinda let their guards down because Barstool welcomes edgy content. I listened to Joe Buck on PMT and was shocked at some of the things he said, for example.

 

I hated Roenick as a Flyer back in the day but I find his stories interesting and he really, to me, comes off as the Josh Donaldson of the NHL. NBC knew who he was and he didn't really say anything surprising for who he is.
