I have 3 OPC Gretzky's. No one wants what would be a PSA 5-6 card though. I have a PSA 8 Patrick Roy rookie and a 9.5 Paul Coffey Topps. Dealers won't give me $1000 for the entire collection. I could sell them individually online and maybe get $2k.

Their attempt to sound hip when your team name is stupid. Also, probably an admission on their part that "Leafs" is spelled incorrectly.

 

What's especially strange to me is that a bud is the early stage of a leaf, but I was informed that the leaves were named after some army ********. Which one is it? Why don't you just call them the cadets or whatever as a nickname? I guess I've been correct this entire time.

Not even close. Habs is a nickname tied to geographic history and a neat little mistake by a former NHL executive, who thought the H in the logo stood for "habitants" rather than hockey.

 

Buds is a just a dumb f***ing leaf reference that doesn't even make a lot of sense. Maybe it would make sense to call the Marlies the Buds, for obvious reasons.
