Melnyk was on the radio throwing shade at the Leafs rebuild saying they forgot about the defence and they won't win with this defence. While he's not wrong, that defence is their weakness... Really? Melnyk has an opinion about another club? Melnyk? Lol!!! Talk about trying to create a distraction from his own gong show off an organization. Look in the mirror and keep your trap closed, Eugene. - that the fans in Ottawa who are complaining aren't 'real fans'

- that the team has had a 'great record' over the last 15-16 years

- that the team is doing more than most teams for their fans

- that the city's best sports reporter (Ian Mendes) is bush league

- that the mayor of Ottawa 'had better be careful about the comments he makes'
